Minutes--August 17, 1992 903 <br /> <br />14. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />PLAT OF WALLNER SUBDIVISION, Public hearing <br />Chairman Wieland opened the public hearing at this time on the final <br />plat of Wallner Subdivision located in the NW 1/4 of Section 1, <br />Raymond Township. No one asked to address the Commission on this <br />issue. The Chairman closed the public hearing and proceeded with <br />recommendations of the County Planning Department. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve the <br /> final plat of the Wallner Subdivision; and allow the <br /> Chairman to sign the final plat after the applicant obtains <br /> other proper signatures. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />BEER AND LIQUOR LICENSE, Approved for Jon McLean d/b/a Cottonwood Pub <br />Jon S. McLean submitted applications for a county beer and liquor <br />license, a license fee of $500 (pro-rated to one-half the annual fee), <br />and a Township Board Consent form signed by the Eldred Township Clerk. <br /> <br />The Cass County Sheriff's Department did a background investigation <br />on the applicant, a copy of which was provided to each Commissioner <br />and the State's Attorney. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve <br /> issuance of a county beer and liquor license for the <br /> balance of 1992 to Jon S. McLean d/b/a Cottonwood Pub, <br /> Embden, ND. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #1992-5, Fargo-Cass County Economic Development Corporation <br />Representatives of the Fargo-Cass County Economic Development <br />Corporation (FCCEDC) were present concerning a resolution and letter <br />of support from Cass County Government. <br /> <br />Chairman Wieland said each of the cities in Cass County will have an <br />opportunity to gather information on the FCCEDC program at a meeting <br />in Casselton on Wednesday, August 19th. Also, the Cass County <br />Commission is sending a letter to all cities asking for their opinion <br />by September 16th. <br /> <br />John Kramer, President of FCCEDC, said they represent all of Cass <br />County and he said prospective clients will choose where they want to <br />locate their business. Mr. Risher said this is a partnership between <br />public and private enterprise. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert asked about the make-up of the committee and why the City <br />of Fargo doesn't levy for economic development when the name of the <br />corporation is Fargo-Cass County Economic Development Corporation. <br />Mr. Wieland said about 70% of the funds will come from Fargo <br />taxpayers, based upon property valuations. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to adopt <br /> Resolution #1992-5 and letter of support for Fargo-Cass <br /> County Economic Development, read by Commissioner Risher, <br /> as follows: On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
