Minutes--June 1, 1992 264 <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />19. <br /> <br />20. <br /> <br />21. <br /> <br />PLAT OF FERGUSON SUBDIVISION, Public hearing <br />Chairman Wieland opened a public hearing on final plat of Ferguson <br />Subdivision located in the SE 1/4 of Section 30, Harwood Township. <br />No one asked to address the Commission at this time. The Chairman <br />closed the public hearing and proceeded with recommendations of the <br />County Planning Department. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve the <br /> final plat of Ferguson Subdivision and authorize the <br /> Chairman to sign the final plat. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEMS MAINTENANCE <br />Mr. Eckert asked that this item be postponed until the next meeting <br />because the County Auditor's election duties haven't given him time <br />to assist in preparing a bid form for systems maintenance. <br /> <br />CONTRACT TERMINATED, Environmental systems maintenance <br />Mr. Shannon said he sees no justification for continuing a contract <br />with Peterson Mechanical for environmental systems maintenance. He <br />said Cass County Government pays for work in addition to paying $1,570 <br />per month under contract. In connection with a recent energy study, <br />a manual was developed for county maintenance staff to do as much of <br />the work as possible instead of calling Peterson Mechanical. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to cancel the <br /> contract with Peterson Mechanical for environmental systems <br /> maintenance effective July 1, 1992. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS, Approved <br />Mr. Eckert reviewed the list of bills for this month. He questioned <br />voucher #37,819 to Braun Pavement Technology in the Road Department <br />bills. He said a portion of the bill appears to be a first payment <br />on computer software, and he wants to get more information on this. <br /> <br />Mr. Eckert also questioned a voucher for personal vehicle miles for <br />Joel Young, Vector Control Director, and it was the consensus of the <br />Commission that Mr. Eckert write a letter asking Mr. Young to use a <br />vehicle owned by the Vector Control District whenever possible. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve <br /> Vouchers #37,063 through #37,996 with the exception of <br /> #37,819 to Braun Pavement Technology; the County Auditor to <br /> re-issue a check in the amount of $5,700.60, the additional <br /> $5,640.00 for computer software being withheld for further <br /> review. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING, ELECTION UPDATE, SURVEYOR <br />RECORDS, EQUALIZATION BOARD MEETING, Committee reports <br />Bonnie Johnson announced that the next meeting of the Personnel <br />Overview Committee will be Tuesday, June 2nd, at 9:15 AM in the <br />Commission Room for the purpose of considering a request from the <br />Register of Deeds to fill a vacancy in her office by hiring above the <br />minimum of the salary range. <br /> <br /> <br />
