On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LOT, City of Alice <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to authorize the <br /> Chairman and the Auditor to sign a county deed to sell a <br /> tax-forfeited lot to the City of Alice for $1.00. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ABATEMENT HEARING, Mervin A. Kaltvedt, Jr. application MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that <br /> Applications for Abatement #3959 and #3960 submitted by <br /> Mervin A. Kaltvedt, Jr. be approved as recommended by the <br /> Director of Tax Equalization. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />FARGO-CASS COUNTY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, Quarterly report <br />John Kramer, President of the Fargo-Cass County Economic Development <br />Corporation, provided a written quarterly report and highlighted some <br />of the details. He said their objective is to raise $1.2 million from <br />the private sector and, to date, they have raised nearly $800,000. <br /> <br />SPACE INVENTORY, PARKING STUDY <br />County Planner Earl Haugen prepared a space inventory of county <br />departments, along with short and long-range space needs. At a <br />meeting earlier today, department heads received a copy of the report <br />and were asked to review it and contact Mr. Haugen with modifications. <br />Mr. Risher asked for an average square footage, and Mr. Haugen said <br />he used an average of 100 square feet for offices and 60 square feet <br />for work space. The next meeting of the Space and Planning Committee <br />will be at 11:00 AM, June 1st, in the Commission Room. <br /> <br />Another item Mr. Haugen is working on is the neighborhood parking <br />study. He said this will be discussed at a meeting of the <br />Metropolitan Council of Governments next week. <br /> <br />HEARING ON FINAL PLAT OF SAUVAGEAU SUBDIVISION, Plat approved <br />County Planner Earl Haugen said this is the time and place advertised <br />for a public hearing on the final plat of Sauvageau Subdivision <br />located in Section 4, Pleasant Township. The applicants have met all <br />the requirements of the Cass County Subdivision Regulations arid the <br />development is in conformance with the Cass County Comprehensive Land <br />Use Policy Plan, according to Mr. Haugen. <br /> <br />Chairman Wieland opened the public hearing and no one was present to <br />speak on this item. He closed the public hearing and proceeded with <br />recommendations of the County Planning Department. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve and <br /> authorize chairman to sign final plat of Sauvageau <br /> Subdivision. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
