Minutes--April 20, 1992 843 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />JAIL AND JUVENILE CONTRACTS, Chairman authorized to sign <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to authorize the <br /> Chairman to sign contracts for holding inmates in Barnes County <br /> and Stutsman County correctional facilities when the need aries, <br /> and to sign contracts with Richland, Traill, Barnes and Griggs <br /> Counties for holding juveniles in the Cass County Juvenile <br /> Detention Center; said contracts having been prepared by the <br /> Cass County State's Attorney. On roll call vote, motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />PERMIT FOR SUNDAY ALCOHOL SALES, Red River Valley Fair MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to approve a special <br /> Sunday permit for the Red River Valley Fair Association to sell <br /> beer during the annual Red River Valley Fair on Sunday, July 19, <br /> 1992, in the lower grandstand between the hours of 12:00 noon <br /> and midnight. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL OVERVIEW COMMITTEE, Recommendations ratified. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Risher seconded to ratify Personnel <br /> Overview Committee recommendations as follows: On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />To allow carry-over of vacation hours in excess of 240 hours, in <br />accordance with county policy, for Steve Grindberg in the Road <br />Department due to the death of the department head and the need <br />for Mr. Grindberg to complete scheduled projects; such leave is <br />allowed to be carried over for 180 days and must be used by <br />October 1, 1992. <br /> <br />To formalize the name "Personnel Office" for use on county <br />letterhead and county signs in addition to providing consistency <br />with county employee manual entitled "Personnel Policy Manual." <br /> <br />To authorize Personnel Coordinator Marcia Kemmer to develop an <br />"exit interview" process by May 1, 1992, to assist Cass County <br />in obtaining relevant feedback from departing employees. <br /> <br />To authorize Cass County Sta'te's Attorney John Goff to develop <br />appropriate employment contracts for vector control and weed <br />board employees to define their relationship with Cass County. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />BIDS, Road Department annual supplies <br />Sealed bids were received by the Cass County Auditor's Office and <br />opened at 10:00 AM ~on this date, as advertised by the County Road <br />Department in the official county newspaper, for the furnishing of <br />asphalt products, structural plate pipe and metal culverts, large <br />prestressed concrete boxes and arches, treated timber bridge materials <br />and rental of certain highway heavy construction equipment. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Risher seconded to accept all bids as <br /> outlined by Steve Grindberg, County Road Superintendent, for <br /> annual supplies and equipment rental; and instruct the Road <br /> Department to use the bids to the best advantage of Cass County. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
