Minutes--February 18, 1992 824 <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve out <br />of state travel for Dawn Krieger, Social Services employee, <br />to Fergus Falls, Minnesota, on February 28, 1992. Upon <br />roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve out <br />of state travel for Michael Montplaisir to attend a <br />conference on Governmental Budgeting in Denver, Colorado, <br />March 10-12, 1992. Upon roll call vote, motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />SENIOR CITIZENS MILL LEVY PROPOSALS, Summary by Auditor accepted <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to accept the <br /> 1992 senior citizens mill levy proposals as summarized by <br /> the County Auditor's Office by memo dated February 7, 1992. <br /> Upon roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SALE OF TAX-FORFEITED LOTS, Cities of Fargo, West Fargo, Casselton <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to authorize <br /> the Chairman and the Auditor to sign County Deeds for the <br /> sale of tax-forfeited lots in Fargo, West Fargo and <br /> Casselton to those respective cities. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BUDGET AMENDMENT, 1992 County Road and Bridge Fund <br />County Auditor Michael Montplaisir said this is the time and place <br />designated for a public hearing on a proposal to add $250,000 to the <br />1992 County Road and Bridge budget to fund the county portion of <br />County Road 10 improvements between West Fargo and Mapleton. Road <br />Superintendent Steve Grindberg said the project has been on hold <br />because of lack of funding, but State funding is now available. Mr. <br />Wieland said the road advisory committee reviewed the project and <br />recommends that it be done. <br /> <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing for the purpose of receiving <br />public comment. Warren Solberg, Stanley Township resident, asked <br />where the $250,000 will be paid from, and Mr. Montplaisir said <br />from Road Department reserves. Hearing no other public comments, the <br />Chairman closed the public hearing. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Risher moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve the <br /> budget amendment in the amount of $250,000 to the 1992 <br /> County Road and Bridge fund. Upon roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />ELDRED TOWNSHIP LAND ACQUISITION, Public hearing set for March 30th <br />Representatives of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Noreen Olson <br />and Harris Hoistad, were present to ask the Cass County Commission to <br />schedule a public hearing in accordance with State law on the proposed <br />acquisition of property located in the North 1/2 of Section 20, Eldred <br />Township, by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
