21. VOTING PRECINCTS, Approved for 1992 elections
Auditor Michael Montplaisir said the County needs to adjust some of
the rural precincts as a result of legislative redistricting. He said
meetings were held with respective political party officials in the
rural area resulting in the reduction of six rural precincts.

Mr. Montplaisir said he has adopted the numbering system for precincts
that was initiated by the City of Fargo, that is, all precinct numbers
contain the legislative district number and then the number of the
precinct within the legislative district. Precincts in rural areas
were known by name but are now also numbered by legislative district
and a precinct number.
MOTION, passed
Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to establish
voting precincts for 1992 elections as outlined on the
table prepared by the County Auditor. On roll call vote,
motion carried unanimously.

22. SOCIAL SERVICES, Children's Center evaluation
MOTION, passed
Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Shannon seconded that the
Director of Social Services be authorized to contract with
Dr. Roy Rodenhiser for a program evaluation of the
Children's Center as outlined in Proposal I, at a cost of
$2,335, to be paid from the Children's Center budget.
Mr. Risher asked about the time frame, and Mrs. Hogan said
it will take about two months to complete. On roll call
vote, motion carried unanimously.

23. REGIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING CENTER, Budgeted funds allocated
In discussing the expenses and cash balance for the Law Enforcement
Training Center with the City of West Fargo, Mr. Wieland said they
intend to pay their share, therefore, he recommended that Cass County
do the same. He said funds previously held in reserve have been used
for structural work, equipment and additional training programs.
MOTION, passed
Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to approve
payment of the second half of Cass County's share of
maintenance of the Regional Training Center in the amount
of $4,250 for 1991 as requested by the City of Fargo. On
roll call vote, motion carried unanimously.
