Minutes--December 16, 1991 791 <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />that Steve Grindberg be acknowledged as <br />charge of the Cass County Road Department. <br />vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />the person in <br /> On roll call <br /> <br />MILL LEVY FUNDS, Senior Citizens, Historical Society <br />The County Commission received budget proposals for 1992 for senior <br />citizen mill levy funds and for historical mill levy funds, but didn't <br />designate what the funds would be used for, according to County <br />Auditor Michael Montplaisir. He suggested publishing a request for <br />proposals to give affected agencies an opportunity to use the funds. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to authorize <br /> the publication of the request for proposals for services <br /> to senior citizens in Cass County during 1992; and to <br /> authorize the publication of the request for proposals for <br /> funds raised by the historical mill levy in Cass County for <br /> 1992. Anna Powers from Leonard was present and said she <br /> believes the rural senior citizen clubs understand this <br /> process as they have been working with the County Auditor. <br /> On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />BOARD APPOINTMENTS <br />Commissioners were given a list of terms expiring on various boards. <br />Applications for reappointment were received from incumbents only. <br /> <br />One term on each of the four water resource district boards expires <br />December 31, 1991, and Mr. Wieland asked the State's Attorney if the <br />Cominission could reappoint the members for one year terms instead of <br />three year terms with the idea that the county intends to seek <br />legislative changes which would allow for one water resource district <br />in the county instead of four. However, Mr. Goff said any change <br />should follow legislative change since the terms are set by statute. <br /> <br />There will be one vacancy on the County Planning Commission as of <br />January 1st from Commission District #2, and Mr. Risher said he will <br />provide a name at the first meeting in January. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve <br /> the following appointments to various boards: On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />COUNTY PARK BOARD - 1 year terms <br />Wayne Kyser, Erie <br />Keith Monilaws, Absaraka <br /> <br />COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION - 4 year term <br />Don W. Hanson, 2513 - 9 1/2 St. No., Fargo <br /> <br />MAPLE RIVER WATER RESOURCE DISTRICT - 3 year terms <br />Clarence Discher, Davenport <br /> <br />SOUTHEAST CASS WATER RESOURCE DISTRICT - 3 year terms <br />Fred Selberg, Harwood <br /> <br />RUSH RIVER WATER RESOURCE DISTRICT - 3 year terms <br />William Sinz, Casselton <br /> <br /> <br />
