Comm. Minutes--February 4, 1991 622 <br /> <br />$27 versus $200 for a larger block advertisement. She said the <br />classified ad has been acceptable to the State for meeting notice of <br />public hearing requirements. Mr. Eckert said he prefers something <br />more visible, and Mrs. Toussaint agreed but doesn't think it needs to <br />be a large block ad. Mr. Shannon asked what Lake Agassiz Regional <br />Council's position is, and Ms. Anderson said the decision is up to the <br />governing body who pays to advertise the public hearing. It was the <br />consensus of the County Commission that the ad be larger than a public <br />notice ad in the classified section. <br /> <br />PLAT APPROVAL, Braaten Second Subdivision <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Hr. Risher seconded to approve <br /> granting the variance to allow the Braaten Second <br /> subdivision to be processed as a "one lot residential" <br /> subdivision, as per the recommendation of the Cass County <br /> Planning Commission. <br />The chairman opened the meeting at this time for a public hearing to <br />allow anyone interested in the application to be heard. Hearing no <br />comments, the chairman closed the public hearing. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve the <br /> final plat of Braaten Second Subdivision and authorize the <br /> Chairman to sign the final plat. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />DATA PROCESSING UPDATE, County Court and other departmental priorities <br />Mr. Risher asked to defer this item until after he and Data Processing <br />Manager Mike Steiner meet with various department heads on February <br />7th at 3:30 PM to address programming needs. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS APPROVED <br />Mr. Wi,land reviewed the list of bills over the past weekend and <br />requested that check #22622 to the Fargo Police Department for Cass <br />County's share of maintenance of the Regional Training Center be <br />withheld until he reports at the next County Commission meeting on how <br />the Regional Training Center reserve fund will be spent. MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to approve <br /> Vouchers No. 22130 through No. 22956 with the exception of <br /> No. 22622 for share of maintenance of the Regional Training <br /> Center. On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />APPOINTMENTS~ County Park and Lake Agassiz Regional Council <br />Two positions were open for at-large members to serve on the Cass <br />County Park Board. Mr. Risher nominated Donald W. Beck, Fargo. <br />Mrs. Toussaint nominated Wayne Kyser, Erie. Mr. Eckert nominated <br />Keith Monilaws, Absaraka. Nominations were closed and a voice vote <br />was taken with Wayne Kyser and Keith Monilaws receiving the highest <br />number of votes to be reappointed to the County Park Board. <br /> <br />Nominations were opened for Cass County representative on the Lake <br />Agassiz Regional Council. Both Don Eckert and Steve Risher were <br />interested in serving. Mr. Risher was appointed by a voice vote of <br />three in favor, one against. Mr. Shannon thanked Mr. Eckert for his <br />past years of service on that board. <br /> <br /> <br />
