Comm. Minutes--December 18, 1990 589 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Commissioner Toussaint serves Cass County as a <br />member of the County Commission. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That the Board of Commissioners <br />of Cass County, North Dakota, does hereby express its <br />heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Grace <br />Kilfoyl. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That this resolution be inscribed <br />upon the permanent records of the proceedings of the Board <br />of County Commissioners and a copy forwarded to <br />Commissioner Sharon Toussaint. <br /> <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 18th day of December, 1990. <br /> <br />32. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence read by the secretary as follows: <br />letters from Governor George Sinner and North Dakota Consensus Council <br />regarding Cass County's request for funding for the "Model" project; <br />letter from City of Casselton submitting the name of Lorne Sterner to <br />replace Ralph Johnson on Casselton Planning & Zoning Commission; <br />letter from Professional Building Services, Inc. for the opportunity <br />to continue providing the cleaning services at the Courthouse; <br />response from Geoffrey Riches, Personnel Director, regarding review <br />of his 1990 work plan; letter from Dr. Richard Lenzmeier regarding <br />policy on accepting intoxicated persons into the Cass County Jail; <br />resignation of Oscar Sondrall from all boards to which he was <br />appointed by the Cass County Commission; letters from Stanley Township <br />Board to the County Commission and to Engineer Don Richards expressing <br />appreciation for the supervision of Steve Grindberg in the Road <br />Department's removal of the Rutten Bridge and site restoration in <br />Stanley Township; notice of special meeting of Cass County Historical <br />Society Board of Directors on December 19th at 6:00 PM at <br />Bonanzaville, copy of letter from Historical Society to Jay Crawford, <br />regarding North Dakota Insurance Reserve Fund risk management/loss <br />control survey, and thanks to Commissioners for participating in the <br />Christmas on the Prairie event; letter from Personnel Director to <br />department heads regarding veterans and reservists re-employment <br />rights, memo to all employees regarding W-2 information, and personnel <br />action report for the month of November, 1990; thank you letter from <br />United Blood Services for allowing county employees to participate in <br />the recent blood drive; suggested bid letting dates for North Dakota <br />counties for road supplies and equipment (copy referred to County <br />Engineer); pictures from Joan Whaley expressing thanks to Cass County <br />Park Board for contribution of matching funds for fence and toward <br />playground equipment for the Head Start program on County property at <br />57-11th Avenue North; letter from Accountant Mike Montplaisir <br />regarding the next annual county audit; letter from Steven D. <br />Mottinger regarding 1991 indigent defense contract; letter from Chief <br />Deputy Jim Thoreson thanking Commission on behalf of the Sheriff's <br />Department and all County employees for allowing County offices to be <br />closed Monday, Christmas Eve, to allow additional time to spend with <br />family and friends. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
