Comm. Minutes--December 18, 1990 588 <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Since there was no controversy over the contract for mental <br />health proceedings, Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland <br />seconded to enter into a contract with the Ottmar Law Firm <br />of Jamestown for public defender mental health proceedings <br />at a cost of $4,620 per year. On roll call vote, motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />24. <br /> <br />PROBATION OFFICER, Agreement approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to confirm the <br /> probation officer contract between County Court and Gary <br /> Highness, d/b/a Court Services, for the year 1991. On roll <br /> call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Z5. <br /> <br />JUVENILE JUSTICE CENTER, Office space for Director of Institutions <br />Juvenile Justice Center office space contract with State Director of <br />Institutions has been sent to them for signing. States attorney said <br />it is the same contract as for 1990. <br /> <br />26. <br /> <br />FARGO COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER, Agreement for 1991 delayed <br />States Attorney asked the Commission to delay the Fargo Community <br />Health Center proposed contract until he can discuss some points with <br />the county accountant. <br /> <br />27. <br /> <br />FLEXIBLE BENEFITS AGREEMENT, Approved as amended MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to re-approve the <br /> flexible benefits agreement with American Family Life <br /> Assurance Company to include adding regular part-time <br /> employees into the flexible benefits program. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />28. <br /> <br />LEGISLATIVE ISSUES, Weekly county meetings established <br />It was the consensus of the Commissioners to establish Friday <br />afternoons at 3:30 in the Commission Room as the time and place for <br />people to meet on 1991 legislative concerns with the county. <br /> <br />29. <br /> <br />WATER RESOURCE DISTRICT, Culvert on C31 and C26 <br />Mr. Eckert reported that the petition submitted by Nora Lutheran <br />Church for changing the size of a culvert at the intersection of <br />County Roads 31 and 26 was denied on December 10, 1990, by the North <br />Cass Water Resource District. <br /> <br />30. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL DIRECTOR, Performance review <br />Mr. Shannon said he will refer a response letter from Personnel <br />Director Geoffrey Riches about his performance review to Commissioner- <br />elect Steve Risher for a report at the first meeting in January. <br /> <br />31. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE, To Commissioner Sharon Toussaint <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to adopt the <br /> following resolution of condolence: Motion carried. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Commissioner Sharon "Pepper" Toussaint recently <br />suffered a personal tragedy in the loss of her mother, and <br /> <br /> <br />
