Minutes--September 18, 1990 526 <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />18, <br /> <br />Mr. Wie'land suggested expanding the Road Advisory Committee to <br />include one or two representatives from the water resource districts. <br />Mr. Shannon asked Commissioners Eckert and Wieland to take this <br />matter under advisement and report back to the Commission. Mr. <br />Richards will contact the Chairman to schedule this on the agenda at <br />a regular commission meeting, after November 6. <br /> <br />Ken Lougheed and Don Reierson both own property in the area of the <br />culvert in Section 35, Noble Township. They said property and crops <br />have been put at risk because they think the culvert which was <br />recently installed is too small. Mr. Rierson asked that the culvert <br />be replaced with a larger one. <br /> <br />Mr. Shannon said the Commission cannot respond to that right now but <br />they are trying to establish a procedure for better communication <br />between them and the road engineer. <br /> <br />COUNTY SEAL DUPLICATION, Further bids to be obtained <br />Mr. Wieland supplied a bid for duplicating the County Seal on a pin. <br />It was the consensus of the Commissioners that he also obtain bids <br />from some North Dakota firms for making a pin with the County Seal on <br />it, and that the pin be distributed in Fargo at the .1991 State County <br />Commissioners and North Dakota Association of Counties convention. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, Received and filed NOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to receive <br /> and file correspondence outlined by the secretary as <br /> follows: reimbursement from Game and Fish Department for <br /> $11,000 for 75~ cost share of two rest rooms and two boat <br /> docks at Brewer Lake; letter from Governor George A. <br /> Sinner regarding the "Cass County Model" project; <br /> Richland County suggestion to discuss possibility of <br /> establishing joint public health district; Town & Country <br /> Roll-Off Service requesting deferral of payment for two <br /> years on Community Development loan funds; response from <br /> Senator Quentin Burdick on Cass County's resolution <br /> opposing elimination or capping of state and local income <br /> tax deductions; Personnel Department activity report for <br /> August, 1990; copy of letter to County accountant from <br /> Vern Kepler regarding special improvement district in <br /> Forest River Subdivision; letter dated September 11, 1990 <br /> from Pat Murray, Manager of F-M Ambulance Service; Blue <br /> Ribbon Panel minutes of September 5 and September 11 <br /> meeting; NDSU Research Foundation regarding development <br /> of properties along 19th Avenue North (referred to County <br /> Planner); copy of letter to County Planner from Cass <br /> County Electric regarding informational meeting on <br /> alcohol conversion project; notice that City of Fargo <br /> will host a joint County/City meeting October 16th; <br /> notice that Clay County will host a joint meeting at <br /> 12:30 p.m. October 2nd in Hoorhead.
