Toussaint seconded to approve <br /> child support enforcement cooperative agreements to be <br /> signed by four different department heads, Social Service <br /> Board and County Board of Commissioners as approved by <br /> Social Services Board on this date. On roll call vote, <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SOCIAL SERVICES, Pay increase for clerk NOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Hrs. Toussaint seconded to approve a <br /> pay increase for Social Services employee Janel Cruz to <br /> $1,074 per month as approved by the Cass County Social <br /> Services Board on this date. On roll call vote, motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />DISASTER EMERGENCY SERVICES, Out of state travel NOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve <br /> out of state travel for Glenn E11ingsberg to Cheyenne, WY <br /> on Septembe~ 21-23, 1990, for a workshop on regionalized <br /> response teams for earthquake disasters. On roll call <br /> vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />HEARING ON 1991 COUNTY BUDGET <br />Chairman Shannon opened a public hearing on proposed expenditures in <br />the 1991 county budget. Accountant Mike Montplaisir said the purpose <br />is to hear comments but no action will be taken at this time. <br /> <br />Pat Murray, Manager of F-M Ambulance Service, spoke on behalf of his <br />board of directors requesting to be included in the 1991 county <br />budget starting January 1st to offset services they do not bill other <br />people for. In the process of working with the Cass County Model <br />task force, he prepared a monthly billing statement and provided a <br />sample copy today. <br /> <br />Mr. Shannon said the position of record is that without a balance <br />sheet, the County is not in a position to consider funding F-M <br />Ambulance Service. <br /> <br />States Attorney Robert Hoy said in view of the actions of the County <br />Commission, he takes the position that there is not a valid, binding <br />contract between F-M Ambulance Service and the Commission for 1991. <br /> <br />The Chairman asked for other comments and hearing none, declared the <br />public hearing closed. <br /> <br />BRIDGE DECK PROGRAM, Demonstration oro.iect <br />A second check for $30,000 was received by the County Engineer from <br />the Department of Agriculture for a demonstration bridge project in <br />Mapleton Township about one mile south of Interstate 94 and one-half <br />mile west. Local timber will be used for the decking. <br /> <br /> <br />
