AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR SALE OF COMPUTERS, Approved MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. 8ondrall seconded to authorize advertisement for the sale of two IBM 8/36 computers and attached tape drives by sealed bids with bids to be opened July 3, 1990, at 10:15 AH during the Cass County Board of Commission meeting. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Bids awarded County Engineer Don Richards said that he and Steve Grindberg reviewed the bids received today for equipment and annual supplies and presented his recommendations. Mr. Richards requested that the Commission defer action on the used truck tractor until the next Commission meeting, June 19. MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to accept the low bid of F.M. Asphalt for bituminous surfacing in the amount of $612,938.81; to accept the bid of General Equipment & Supplies for a used scraper in the amount of $85,285.17; to accept the low bids of Contech Construction for reinforced concrete pipe arch culverts, Item 1, in the amount of $9,912.00 and Item 2 in the amount of $8,010.00 (after the $500.00 discount); to accept the low bid of North Dakota Concrete Products for reinforced concrete pipe arch culverts, Item 3, in the amount of $37,260.10; and to accept the low bid of H. V. Johnston Culvert Company for reinforced concrete pipe arch culverts, Item 4, in the amount of $9,466.10. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to accept all bids on reinforced concrete box culverts, heavy equipment rental, asphalt products, and treated timber bridge material according to the Engineer's recommendation to use the bids in the County's best interest at the time of purchase. On roll ca'Il vote, the motion carried unanimously. PETERSON MECHANICAL, INC. CONTRACT, &EPr9~ed to Mike Montplaisir, County Accountant, said this is a renewal of the present contract regarding the environmental and fire protection systems but will now be on a month-to-month basis. Mr. Tom Summerville from Peterson Mechanical said an instlrance policy on the air conditioner compressors that was part of the contract in the past would not be included with this new to-month contract. MOTION, passed Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to continue the contract with Peterson Mechanical, Inc., on a month-to-month basis, subtracting the pro-rated amount for the equipment insurance with the understanding that the insurance be reviewed by the County Accountant for its possible continuation, on roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
