On roll call vote, motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO ADVERTISE FOR SALE OF COMPUTERS, Approved <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. 8ondrall seconded to authorize <br />advertisement for the sale of two IBM 8/36 computers and attached <br />tape drives by sealed bids with bids to be opened July 3, 1990, <br />at 10:15 AH during the Cass County Board of Commission meeting. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT, Bids awarded <br />County Engineer Don Richards said that he and Steve Grindberg <br />reviewed the bids received today for equipment and annual <br />supplies and presented his recommendations. Mr. Richards <br />requested that the Commission defer action on the used truck <br />tractor until the next Commission meeting, June 19. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to accept the low <br /> bid of F.M. Asphalt for bituminous surfacing in the amount of <br /> $612,938.81; to accept the bid of General Equipment & Supplies <br /> for a used scraper in the amount of $85,285.17; to accept the <br /> low bids of Contech Construction for reinforced concrete pipe <br /> arch culverts, Item 1, in the amount of $9,912.00 and Item 2 <br /> in the amount of $8,010.00 (after the $500.00 discount); to <br /> accept the low bid of North Dakota Concrete Products for <br /> reinforced concrete pipe arch culverts, Item 3, in the amount <br /> of $37,260.10; and to accept the low bid of H. V. Johnston <br /> Culvert Company for reinforced concrete pipe arch culverts, <br /> Item 4, in the amount of $9,466.10. On roll call vote, the <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to accept all bids <br /> on reinforced concrete box culverts, heavy equipment rental, <br /> asphalt products, and treated timber bridge material according <br /> to the Engineer's recommendation to use the bids in the <br /> County's best interest at the time of purchase. On roll ca'Il <br /> vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PETERSON MECHANICAL, INC. CONTRACT, &EPr9~ed to <br />Mike Montplaisir, County Accountant, said this is a renewal of <br />the present contract regarding the environmental and fire <br />protection systems but will now be on a month-to-month basis. <br />Mr. Tom Summerville from Peterson Mechanical said an instlrance <br />policy on the air conditioner compressors that was part of the <br />contract in the past would not be included with this new <br />to-month contract. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to continue the <br />contract with Peterson Mechanical, Inc., on a month-to-month <br />basis, subtracting the pro-rated amount for the equipment <br />insurance with the understanding that the insurance be reviewed <br />by the County Accountant for its possible continuation, on roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
