Comm. Minutes--June 5, 1990 474 <br /> <br />23. <br /> <br />24. <br /> <br />25. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS, Approved MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that Vouchers No. <br /> 14,160 through No. 14,997 be approved and ordered paid, On <br /> roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SECURITY SYSTEM UPDATE <br />Mr. Eckert met with Mike Montplaisir, Sheriff Don Rudnick, Geoff <br />Riches, Ron Leon and Alton Johnson regarding the security system <br />malfunctioning. Mr. Eckert said that one of the back doors was <br />not catching, so therefore was not locking; this has been <br />repaired. He also stated that he addressed the department heads <br />regarding the security system and did not receive much response. <br />Two hundred security cards were ordered although not all of them <br />have been issued. He said that the cards will be monitored to <br />see if all 200 will be needed. He requested to send out a memo <br />to department heads asking for their concerns regarding building <br />security. <br /> <br />Mr. Montplaisir added that the locks on the back doors have been <br />removed, so a security card is needed to gain access to the <br />building after working hours. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE, COHHITTEE REPORTS, NEW BUSINESS MOTION, passed <br /> Mr, Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file <br /> correspondence outlined by the secretary as follows: letter <br /> requesting funds for F-M Ambulance Service. The letter is <br /> signed by Patrick A. Murray but is not written on letterhead; <br /> response from Glenn Ellingsberg to a letter from Darrell Graf, <br /> which the Commission referred to him, Commissioner Toussaint, <br /> and Hike Hontplaisir. They reviewed it and recommend that <br /> Mr. Graf work with existing fire departments; request from <br /> Humane Society, Irc. for 1990 and 1991 budget funds; copy of <br /> a letter to Fargo City Commissioners from Share House asking <br /> about status of a committee to study detoxification; letter <br /> from Governor Sinner about recommendations from a Cost <br /> Reduction Commission, chaired by Lt. Governor Lloyd Omdahl; <br /> letter regarding CDBG funds for Tri-Line Transportation saying <br /> requirements have now have been met on two items mentioned in <br /> an earlier letter dated Hay 14; letter from the North Dakota <br /> Department of Transportation regarding National Bridge <br /> Inspection Standards. The County Engineer also got a copy of <br /> this letter; letter from the Department of Agriculture about <br /> grasshopper control on CRP land; notice of East Central <br /> Commissioners meeting Monday, June 11, at the Westward Ho <br /> (instead of the Town House) in Grand Forks; letter- from <br /> Harriet Light including the May 24 minutes from Bonanzaville's <br /> Blue Ribbon Panel. Motion carried. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file <br /> the Salary Review Study from the Personnel Department Dir'ector <br /> Geoff Riches. Motion carried. <br /> <br />26. <br /> <br />ADJOURN <br />On motion by Mr. Wieland and seconded by Hr. Eckert, t:he <br />Chairman declared the meeting adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
