Comm. Hinutes--June 5, 1990 472 <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />19. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that a residential <br />structure value of $44,800 be levied on the south 1/2 of the <br />SE 1/4 of Section 22 of Berlin Township, as recommended by <br />the Director of Equalization. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. John Enderle from Stanley Township, spoke on his property <br />(Lot 19, Block 1 of Riverdale Subdivision). He received notice <br />on April 16, 1990, that his property's assessment was raised from <br />$71,000 to $103,900 by the Stanley Township Board of <br />Equalization. At the Stanley Township Board of Equalization <br />meeting on May 7, 1990, the Board raised the assessment to <br />$155,000. <br /> <br />This raise was in violation of NDCC 57-12-09 concerning notice <br />to property owner. Mr. Enderle requested that his assessment <br />be made no higher than $103,900. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that Lot 19, Block <br /> 1 of Riverdale Subdivision be assessed at $110,600 true and <br /> full value. On roll call vote, the motion carried with three <br /> members voting "Aye" and Mr. Shannon opposing. <br /> <br />EQUALIZATION BOARD, Ad'o29~Ened for !990 <br />There being no further business, the Chairman declared the 1990 <br />Board of Tax Equalization adjourned. The Board reconvened as the <br />Board of County Commissioners. <br /> <br />TITLE AND ESCROW COMPANY, ~9~Ge requested in_R__egister of~Deeds <br />Mr. Kermit Bye, representing the Title and Escrow Company, <br />requested space in the Register of Deeds office for' a scanner' <br />and computer to be used for obtaining information necessary for <br />an abstractor's plan. Mr. Bye also said that the company will <br />install their own phone line, but would need to use electricity <br />from the Register of Deeds office. <br /> <br />Ms. Tammy Marvin, manager of the Title and Escrow Company, said <br />she would also need a table and chair for the equipment to be <br />used. She also requested permission to obtain a duplicate of <br />the microfilm copy of file records, which are on file on vault <br />record in Kansas. Deanna Kensrud, Register of Deeds, said she <br />will provide the space. She also feels that this company should <br />be giver] the same treatment as the Cass County Abstract Com[Jal]y. <br /> <br />Discussion fo]lowed regarding some type of reimbursement from the <br />Cass County Abstract Company and the Title and Escrow Company <br />for using office space in the Register of Deeds. Mr. <br />suggested a motion that would authorize the States Attor~ey to <br />work with the Register of Deeds and both abstract compatlles t.o <br />create a document that caf] be referred to in the future. <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to allow authorization <br />for the States Attorney to work with the Register of Deeds and <br />the two abstract companies to create a document regarding <br />reimbursement; authorization to allow the Title and Escrow to <br />copy file records; that the principle use of the Register of <br /> <br /> <br />
