On roll ca]] vote, the <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />MOTION, passed <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to acknowledge an <br />expenditure of $400 from the County Superintendent of Schools <br />1990 budget for training to implement the law. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS, Out of state travel. <br />Joyce Holm reported that this year's State Spelling Bee winner is <br />from Cass County, and she will accompany the winner- to Washington, <br />D.C. for the National Spelling Bee on May 28-June 1. She did not <br />budget for this expense, but is trying to obtain funding from service <br />organizations to help pay the expenses not already covered by the <br />North Dakota Newspaper Association and the County Superintendents <br />Association. Hike Hontplaisir, County Accountant, suggested tidal <br />expenses be paid from the Superintendent's budget with a review if <br />her budget is short before the end of the year. MOTION, passed <br /> Hfs. Toussaint moved and Hr. Son'dral~ seconded to allow <br /> Joyce Holm to attend the spelling bee in ~ashington, D.C. <br /> on Hay 28-June 1 with expenses being paid from her budget. <br /> On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />AUDIT REPORT OF CASS COUNTY, 1989 audit received and filec! <br />Jim Brownlee from the State Auditor's Office said Cass County is <br />basically in good financial co~dition. Mr'. Shannon said there was <br />question about the County's cash reserves last year, but Hr. Br'ow~lee <br />said the reserves are good this year from an Auditor's s'tandpoil~t;. <br />County Accountant Hike Hontplaisir said Cass Cou~lty's rating is A <br />which is a good rating -for' government. MOTrzON, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Hr.
