On roll ca]] vote, the motion <br /> carried unanimously. <br /> <br />FARGO-CASS COUNTY ECONOHIC DEVELOPHENT, Reappointments MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Hr. Eckert seconded to approve <br /> reappointments of Commissioners Pepper Toussaint and Alon <br /> Wieland to the Fargo-Cass County Economic Development <br /> Corporation to represent Cass County. On roll call vote, <br /> the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, .kaw Enforcement Television Network approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Hr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> authorization to sign a contract with Law Enforcement <br /> Television Network, as reviewed by the States Attorney. On <br /> roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />BEER LICENSE APPLICATION DELAYED, The Shootin~ Park, Warren Township <br />Action was postponed on application for County beer license and <br />Sunday sales endorsement submitted by John Lawrence Nelson d/b/a/ The <br />Shooting Park in Warren Township. Hr. Nelson had not yet completed <br />the purchase of the property. <br /> <br />BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION TO PROCEED, Cass 22/Clay 26 <br />The Chairman asked Steve Grabi11 from the Hetropolitan Council of <br />Governments to give an account of events relating to adoption of the <br />belt line route around the COG communities. Mr. Grabill said all <br />local units of government through COG approved the belt line route, <br />and agreed that the proposed bridge on Cass County Road 22/Clay <br />County Road 26 is an important part of the plan. He encouraged the <br />counties to proceed with this bridge project and said it is an <br />important aspect for the rural areas. Mr. Shannon said Cass and <br />Clay Counties are trying to lead the way in providing for <br />infrastructure of roads. <br /> <br />Mr. Shannon asked County Engineer Don Richards to review the concerns <br />addressed at the public hearing, and he invited comments if there is <br />still someone who wishes to speak on the issue. <br /> <br />Mr. Richards said the bridge will be extended 55' to the east because <br />of the soils in this area. He said it should alleviate fears the <br />residents had about the bridge hydraulics. He said he addressed all <br />concerns as much as possible, and has contacted all agencies <br />involved. Right of way needs were adjusted downward as a result of <br />the design they are using. No more trees wi]] be removed than are <br />necessary, and the County wi]] try to hard-surface the road to the <br />junction of County Road 31 as soon as possible after project <br />completion. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Wie]and seconded to authorize the <br /> engineer to advance the bridge project to construction <br /> status.
