Shannon suggested delaying actin on the agreements until the end <br />of the meeting today, and he allowed time for the Commissioners to <br />review the agreements and visit with the States Attorney. <br /> <br />HEALTH SERVICES, ~ontract renewed with FarRo <br />After discussing health services purchased from the City of Fargo <br />with the County Accountant and County Planner, Robert Hoy drafted a <br />contract between Fargo and Cass County that defines what is being <br />done in the area of health services at the present time. <br /> <br />Mr. Hontplaisir said the contract provides for technical assistance <br />and cooperation on the part of the Community Health Center and the <br />City Health Officer if the County wants to establish a Board of <br />Health. <br /> <br />County Planner Earl Haugen said there is a need to update the <br />County's on-site sewer regulations, and the County has that <br />responsibility under this contract. Mr. Hoy said the Community Health <br />Center will administer the regulations, as they have in the past. <br /> <br />Two representatives from the Community Health Center were present, <br />Vida Gorsegner and Virginia Blaine. They recommended passage of the <br />contract. <br /> MOTZON, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Hr. Eckert seconded to authorize <br /> the signing of the contract for community health services <br /> for 1990. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />COMPUTER PURCHASE, .Lease approved with Norwest Investment <br />Mike Montplaisir said provisions were made in the 1990 budget for the <br />purchase of a new computer, and he requested five-year ]ease <br />proposals from banks and leasing companies by advertising in the <br />Fargo Forum. <br /> HOTZON, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Hr. Wieland seconded to accept the <br /> bid of Norwest Investment Services, Inc. at the rate of <br /> 7.98%, and authorize the signing of the contract for the <br /> budget item involving purchase of a new computer. On roll <br /> call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />PERSONNEL ASSISTANT, Stipend extended/position upgrade suggested <br />The Personnel Director asked the Commission to extend the stipend of <br />$350 per month for Sandra~ Baumgarten through the tenure of her <br />employment with Cass County, which will be the end of February, 1990. <br />He said she advises him of work needed to be done, performs her own <br />duties, and has been involved in implementation of the Section 125 <br />plan. Mr. Riches intends to make a recommendation at a later date <br />regarding upgrading this position. <br /> <br /> <br />
