Comm.-Minutes--February 6, 1990 420 <br /> <br />10. <br /> <br />11. <br /> <br />12. <br /> <br />13. <br /> <br />CASS COUNTY MODEL PROJECT, Consulting aRreement approved <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve <br /> the letter of agreement from Scott Kildahl for consulting <br /> fees in the amount of $25,000 as coordinator for the "Cass <br /> County Model" project commencing March 1, 1990 and <br /> concluding September 1, 1990. On roll call vote, the <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT SHOPS, Quit Claim Deeds for sale of <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Sondrall moved and Nfs. Toussaint seconded that the <br /> Chairman be authorized to sign three Quit Claim Deeds for <br /> the sale of former Road Department shops in Page, Tower <br /> City, and Erie. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />VOUCHERS, Approved for payment MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that <br /> Vouchers No. 10,388 through No. 11,318 be approved and <br /> ordered paid. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />AGENDA, Amended MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to amend the <br /> February 6 Commission agenda to include an item from the <br /> States Attorney regarding staff, from the Weed Control <br /> Officer regarding out of state travel, and from the <br /> Personnel Department regarding changing the physical <br /> location of the payroll function. Motion carried. <br /> <br />ABATEMENT HEARING, Gloria Brown MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the <br /> property described in Abatement No. 3917 submitted by <br /> Gloria Brown be reduced from $65,700 to $35,700 as <br /> recommended by the Stanley Township Board and the County <br /> Tax Director. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />EXTENSION SERVICE, ~pdate on State budget cuts <br />Sharon Anderson, District Director of the NDSU Extension Service, <br />gave an update on budget cuts resulting from approval of the December <br />5th tax referrals. She said the cuts will not affect the Cass County <br />Agent position vacated by Duane Hauck, and she provided information <br />on how they will proceed with filling that position. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland said he would not oppose filling the position at this <br />time, but he said the Commission needs to review the Extension <br />Service and it's relationship to the County some time in the future. <br /> <br /> <br />
