Comm. Minutes--JANUARY 16, 1990 412 <br /> <br />12. APPOINTMENTS, Ru~h River and North Cass Water Resource Districts <br />Appointments to the Rush River and North Cass Water Resource District <br />Boards were delayed because Hr. Wieland expressed concern that two <br />terms on each of these boards expired in the same year. The matter <br />was reviewed by the States Attorney and the Commission secretary. <br /> MOTZON, passed <br /> Upon recommendation of the States Attorney, Mr. Wteland <br /> moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that William Thompson be <br /> held over on the Rush River Water Resource District board <br /> and Morris Melander be held over on the North Cass Water <br /> Resource District board for the year 1990, and that they be <br /> appointed to their respective boards for three year terms <br /> effective January 1, 1991; and that Ken McIntyre be <br /> reappointed to the Rush River Water Resource District and <br /> Nils Buringrud be reappointed to the North Cas8 Water <br /> Resource District, both for three year terms to expire <br /> January 1, 1993. Mr. Eckert asked if there were any other <br /> applicants for these board positions, and the secretary <br /> said there were none. Motion carried. <br /> <br />13. APPOINTHENTS, School Reorganization Committee MOTION, passed <br /> Upon recommendation of Joyce Holm, Superintendent of <br /> Schools, Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to <br /> reappoint James Brothers and Roger Erickson to the School <br /> Reorganization Committee for three year terms to expire <br /> January 1, 1993. Motion carried. Mrs. Holm is seeking a <br /> replacement for Otto Bernhoft, who has resigned. <br /> <br />14. FARGO COHHUNITY HEALTH, Contract delayed <br />Hike Montplaisir, County accountant asked to delay signing a contract <br />with the City of Fargo for community health services until the next <br />regular meeting because further details need to be worked out. <br /> <br />15. HEALTH DEPARTMENT, State funds cut <br />Mr. Montplaisir informed the Commission of a letter from the State <br />Health Department notifying Cass County of the termination of grant <br />money for 1990 in the amount of about $8,000. <br /> <br />16. GAME AND FISH PROCEEDS, &~ltor's comoensa[.~on agreemen~ <br /> ~OTZON, passed <br /> Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the <br /> Chairman be authorized to sign the compensation agreement <br /> with the County Auditor for game and fish proceeds, as <br /> prepared by the States Attorney. Motion carried. <br /> <br />17. VECTOR CONTROL DISTRICT, Employment agreement delayed <br />Hr. Eckert recommended de'laying the signing of an employment <br />agreement with the director of the Vector Control District until it <br />can be reviewed by the personnel director, who began employment with <br />Cass County yesterday. Hr. Eckert also said the Commissioners and <br />the Vector Control Board members should meet and discuss <br />responsibilities outlined in the North Dakota Century Code. <br /> <br />Joel Young, Director of the Vector Control District, said that <br />besides his personal concern of not being paid for the month of <br />January, the mosquito program itself may suffer because he normally <br /> <br /> <br />
