The Commission has established a budget line item
of $85,000 for contributions to various community groups, and a
decision will be made by December I on the allocation of these funds.

Mr. Wieland emphasized the fact that the Commission has not made a
decision yet. He said Cass County is the only county in the state
being asked to assist in the funding. Jeannette Stanton said she has
not heard any complaints from people in this county and encouraged
the Commission to support the Island Park Activity Center.

Christopher Menges asked the Commission if accepting contributions
from other sources would have an affect on the amount the county may
contribute.
