Comm. Minutes--Oct. 17, 1989 365 <br /> <br />6. POLICY ON COMPENSATORY TIME, Action delayed <br />States Attorney Robert Hoy requested additional time to review the <br />compensatory time and overtime issue for exempt employees with the <br />Personnel Assistant, and said he could present something to the <br />Commission by the next meeting. <br /> <br />Sandra Brumfield, Personnel Assistant, submitted a memorandum dated <br />today giving a synopsis of the events regarding compensatory time <br />since the Commission's adoption on July 11, 1989, of the "Amendments <br />to Salary and Benefits Proposals." Mrs. Toussaint recommended that <br />the Commission read the material provided by Ms. Brumfield and place <br />this item on the agenda for the next meeting. <br /> <br />7. CASS COUNTY ELECTRIC, Utility permit on C31 MOTION, passed <br /> Upon the recommendation of County Engineer Don Richards, <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Hrs. Toussaint seconded to approve <br /> the utility permit for Cass County Electric on County Road <br /> 31 in Section 11, Wiser Township. Motion carried. <br /> <br />8. ROAD MAINTENANCE, 52nd Avenue south <br />Don Richards said there has been no follow-up from the State Highway <br />Commissioner regarding 52nd Avenue South from Interstate 29 to <br />University Drive. The States Attorney wrote a letter on October 9, <br />1989, indicating that the State Highway Department should initiate <br />discussions on the future of the roadway. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland suggested inviting the State Highway Department to attend <br />a meeting on a specific date or ask them to select the date. He will <br />set up the meeting and contact local entities who are involved. <br /> <br />9. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Update <br />Don Richards reported that the Rose Coulee bridge near the new Fargo <br />Centennial School will open soon, the County Road 5 project near <br />Wheatland was completed, the RC & D project on County Road 31 is <br />being handled by the Soil Conservation Service, and he did advertise <br />for filling positions in his department. He suggested discussion on <br />right of way procedures at the next meeting, and said he will provide <br />information so the Commission is prepared for it. <br /> <br />10. DATA PROCESSING DEPARTMENT, Out of state travel MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Shannon moved and Hrs. Toussaint seconded to grant <br /> permission for out of state travel for Hike Steiner, Data <br /> Processing Coordinator, to attend the AT&T System 75 <br /> Administration training seminar at Edina, Minn., on <br /> November 6-9, 1989. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />11. PERMIT FOR RAFFLE, Chaffee Lion's Club MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to grant a <br /> raffle permit to the Chaffee Lion's Club on November 30 at <br /> the Chaffee School. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
