SOCIAL SERVICES, Duration of Acti.pg Director's term <br />Mr. Shannon asked when Mr. Ki Idahl's term ends as Act'ir~9 Director, <br />and Mr. Kiidahl said it will be 'the end of Oc'bober. It ~,he Social <br />Services Board asks him to extend that period, he would come brck to <br />the Commission. <br /> <br />5. BENEFITS COMMITTEE, Section 125 Plan <br />Sandra Brumfield asked that action on the Sect-ion 125 benefits plan <br />be delayed because the Benefits Committee will be meeting Again in <br />the next week. <br /> <br />6. APPRAISAL OF TAX-FORFEITED PROPERTY, HeariQg. date set <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to appraise <br /> the 1989 tax-forfeited property for the amounts shown on <br /> the list provided by County Auditor Ordelle Brua. On roll <br /> call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> HOT~ON, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Hr. Sondrall secopded to set the date <br /> for a public hearing on the appraisal of tax-forfeited <br /> property for 10:00 a.m., October 17, 1989, in the <br /> Commission Room. Motion carried. <br /> <br />7. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Hirin,q of En,qineerin,q Technician III <br />Chairman Eckert said some members of the CommissIon r6:ques-~ed further <br />information from County Engineer Don Richards or~ (:t;e .job desc;r'lp[ior~ <br />for the position of an engineering technician III. The position was <br />vacated by Steve Nagle and 'is needed bo upgrade <br />at the H~ghway Department, accordin9 icc Mr. Ricl~ai,-ds. 1-1'~s position <br />would be filled by a person who could work w-~ti~ <br />and assist Audrey Borgerson, the account techniciar~ III. <br /> <br />Mr. Wieland said this is not so much a questiol] of be'in9 able to <br />replace the position as it is a question of whether an er~gineerin9 <br />technician III is needed or a person with more compu~ber background. <br /> <br />Mr. Shannon said he was unclear about why Mr. Richards is addressing <br />the Commission since this is a staff rep]acement, not a r~ew position. <br />Mr. Wie'land said Mr. Richards is being courteous of his request for <br />information on this position, realizing he does not need Board <br />approval on a staff replacement. <br /> <br /> <br />
