Comm. Minutes--September 5, 1989 325 <br /> <br />16. VECTOR CONTROL, Insurance claim paid <br />County Auditor Ordelle Brua presented a bill from Northwest Auto Body <br />in the amount of $2,642.91 for repair of a car owned by the Vector <br />Control District that was damaged in an accident in May. Accountant <br />Hike Hontplaisir reported that 20% was deemed to be the Vector <br />Control driver's fault so the County is paying 20% of the cost of <br />repair from the Collision Trust Fund. MOTION, passed <br /> Hrs. Toussaint moved and Hr. Sondrall seconded to pay the <br /> bill to Northwest Auto Body in the amount of $2,642.91, <br /> with the County receiving $2,225.94 from the insurance <br /> claim. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />17. WEED CUTTING NOTICE, Publication approved HOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that the <br /> County Auditor publish the annual notice for weed cutting <br /> in the official newspaper. Motion carried. <br /> <br />18. BIDS FOR ROAD PAVING, Conflicting time of opening <br />Don Richards stated that there was an error in advertising the time <br />of bid opening for the County Road 5 and County Road 10 paving <br />project near Wheatland. One bid was received by 10:00 AM and opened <br />at that time, but the bidder's proposal form stated that bids would <br />be opened at 11:00 AM. Two other bids were received by 11:00 AM, and <br />Hr. Richards recommended opening them. States Attorney Robert Hoy <br />agreed that the County Commission should open these two bids, as the <br />bidder's proposal sent to the contracting firms should prevail. The <br />following bids were opened and read: <br /> <br />Border States Paving, Inc. <br />F-M Asphalt, Inc. <br /> <br />$182,291.68 <br />$13'7,547.26 <br /> <br />The Road Department will review these bids along with others received <br />today, and report back to the Commission. , <br /> <br />19. SOCIAL SERVICES, Actin~ Director's salary <br />Chairman Eckert presented a bill from Scott Kildahl as Acting <br />Director of Cass County Social Services in the amount of $749.88 for <br />the two weeks that he has worked in Cass County. Hr. Eckert felt <br />this needed approval from the County Commission, as well as <br />authorization to sign a salary and pay grade form for Hr. Kildahl. <br />Hr. Eckert stated that Hr. Wieland had some concerns about Social <br />Services, basically some actions that have been taken. Hr. Shannon <br />suggested delaying this to see if Mr. Wieland, who had a doctor <br />appointment for a knee injury, will be attending the meeting later. <br /> <br />20. INSURANCE BILL FOR MINI-TRAIN, Referred to Bonanzaville <br />Mr. Eckert suggested referring a bill to Bonanzaville in the amount <br />of $75.00 for liability insurance coverage on a mini-train used <br />during the recent "Bonanzaville Days" activities. The bill was paid <br />by the County but the Commissioners were in agreement that the <br />Auditor should refer it to Bonanzaville for reimbursement. Mr. <br />Shannon asked the Auditor to let the Commission know what happens to <br />the bill. <br /> <br /> <br />
