Comm, Minutes--July 11, 1989 MOTION, passed Hr. Wie]and moved and Mr. Sondra]] seconded that the County cover the cost of insuring buildings at Bonanzavi]]e and the Fairgrounds. The Chairman directed the Auditor to send a billing for the contents to be paid by Bonanzavi]]e and the Fair Association. On roll ca]] vote, the motion carried unanimously. 289 30. COURTHOUSE SOUTH WING, Office space for State Tax & Arty, Gen~ The Commission received the signed ]ease by the State Tax Department for office space in the Courthouse South Wing. Approval was given for the Chairman and Auditor to sign the 'lease. A new 'lease agreement for office space in the South Wing for the North Dakota Attorney General's Office will be drafted to include a 90-day cance'llation clause, the same as was included in the State Tax Department lease by County Commission action on May 2, 1989. 31. COURTHOUSE, property to south vacated Chairman Eckert read a letter from Gary Griffeth of Insurance Security Corporation stating that his office has vacated the space in the bui Iding south of the Courthouse, and they are willing to rent out the space as needed. MOTION, w~thdrawn Mr. Wie]and moved and Mr. Sondra]] seconded that the Chairman sign an agreement for rental of downstairs office space in this building. Discussion followed after which the motion and second were withdrawn. 32. RIVERSIDE/WEST FARGO, Merger The County Auditor received a letter from Florenz B3ornson, Mayor of West Fargo, expressing appreciation to the Commission for the cooperation concerning the conso'lidation on July 1, 1989, of the two cities of West Fargo and Riverside, to be called West Fargo. MOTION, passed Mr. Wie]and moved and Mr. Sondra]] seconded to send a letter of congratulations to the two communities as this demonstrates a positive approach to the combining of governments in the State of North Dakota and other entities. Motion carried unanimously. 33. OVERTIME REPORTS, AuditoE MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to receive and file the overtime report for June, 1989, received from the County Auditor. Motion carried. Mr. Wieland noted that reports are not.received from all offices, and he suggested that a negative report be submitted by those offices not having any overtime during the month. 34. JAIL ADVISORY COMMITTEE, Request for out of state travel Sheriff Don Rudnick requested funding for the Jail Advisory Committee to travel to St. Cloud and Fergus Falls, MN, to view their facilities. Commissioner Wieland asked that this request be delayed until the July 18th Commission meeting.
