Wie]and moved and Mr. Sondra]] seconded that the County <br />cover the cost of insuring buildings at Bonanzavi]]e and <br />the Fairgrounds. The Chairman directed the Auditor to send <br />a billing for the contents to be paid by Bonanzavi]]e and <br />the Fair Association. On roll ca]] vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />289 <br /> <br />30. COURTHOUSE SOUTH WING, Office space for State Tax & Arty, Gen~ <br />The Commission received the signed ]ease by the State Tax Department <br />for office space in the Courthouse South Wing. Approval was given <br />for the Chairman and Auditor to sign the 'lease. A new 'lease <br />agreement for office space in the South Wing for the North Dakota <br />Attorney General's Office will be drafted to include a 90-day <br />cance'llation clause, the same as was included in the State Tax <br />Department lease by County Commission action on May 2, 1989. <br /> <br />31. COURTHOUSE, property to south vacated <br />Chairman Eckert read a letter from Gary Griffeth of Insurance <br />Security Corporation stating that his office has vacated the space in <br />the bui Iding south of the Courthouse, and they are willing to rent <br />out the space as needed. MOTION, w~thdrawn <br /> Mr. Wie]and moved and Mr. Sondra]] seconded that the <br /> Chairman sign an agreement for rental of downstairs office <br /> space in this building. Discussion followed after which <br /> the motion and second were withdrawn. <br /> <br />32. RIVERSIDE/WEST FARGO, Merger <br />The County Auditor received a letter from Florenz B3ornson, Mayor of <br />West Fargo, expressing appreciation to the Commission for the <br />cooperation concerning the conso'lidation on July 1, 1989, of the two <br />cities of West Fargo and Riverside, to be called West Fargo. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wie]and moved and Mr. Sondra]] seconded to send a <br /> letter of congratulations to the two communities as this <br /> demonstrates a positive approach to the combining of <br /> governments in the State of North Dakota and other <br /> entities. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />33. OVERTIME REPORTS, AuditoE MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to receive and <br /> file the overtime report for June, 1989, received from the <br /> County Auditor. Motion carried. Mr. Wieland noted that <br /> reports are not.received from all offices, and he suggested <br /> that a negative report be submitted by those offices not <br /> having any overtime during the month. <br /> <br />34. JAIL ADVISORY COMMITTEE, Request for out of state travel <br />Sheriff Don Rudnick requested funding for the Jail Advisory Committee <br />to travel to St. Cloud and Fergus Falls, MN, to view their <br />facilities. Commissioner Wieland asked that this request be delayed <br />until the July 18th Commission meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
