RED RIVER VALLEY FAIRGROUNDS, Ice equipment <br />Chairman Eckert asked if there is any further information on the sale <br />of ice equipment from Schollander Pavilion at the fairgrounds, and <br />the Fair Manager stated that no one has approached the Fair Board <br />about removing the equipment, She would 'like this done after the <br />fair and before the upcoming Big Iron event. <br /> <br />8. ROAD AND STREET REPAIR FUNDS, Allocated to Riverside <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Upon recommendation of County Engineer Don Richards, <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve <br /> allocation of the City of Riverside's Pothole and Street <br /> Repair funds in the amount of $3,082. On roll call vote, <br /> the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />9. NORTHERN STATES POWER COMPANY, Utility permit north of C20 <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Upon the recommendation of the County Engineer, <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to grant a <br /> utility permit to the Northern States Power Company to <br /> place a 3" plastic gas main along County Road 20 north of <br /> Hector Airport. Motion carried. <br /> <br />10. ROAD PAVING, County road 5 near Wheatland MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that the Road <br /> Department be allowed to advertise for bids for a <br /> maintenance overlay on County Road 5 four miles north of <br /> Interstate 94 in the Wheatland area, bids to be opened in <br /> August and work to be done this fall. On roll call vote, <br /> the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />11. FLOOD DAMAGE, Reimbursements received <br />Auditor Or'delle Brua reported that she received a check in the amount <br />of $57,076 from the North Dakota Division of Emergency Management for <br />flood damages. This was 75% share of the damage survey report plus <br />100% administrative expense. There will be $27,754 sent later upon <br />completion of further documents. <br /> <br />The Auditor also received a check from Federal Emergency Management <br />Agency which includes money to be paid to townships. The County <br />Board authorized the Auditor and Engineer to proceed witt~ disposition <br />of these funds in accordance with damage survey reports, and disperse <br />the funds to various townships based upon authorized expenditures. <br /> <br />12. BRIDGE IN STANLEY TOWNSHIP, Update <br />The County Engineer reported that he will be working with the State <br />Public Assistance Officer to resolve the Damage Survey Report of the <br />Stanley Township bridge on County Road 14. <br /> <br />13. ROAD ENGINEER, Out of state travel MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Sondra]] moved and Hr. Wie]and seconded to authorize <br /> out of state %rave] for Don Richards to attend the National <br /> Association of County Engineers' meeting in Cincinnati, <br /> Ohio, on July 14-18.
