Comm. Minutes--June 20, 1989 279 <br /> <br />24. OFFICER'S REPORTS, Received and filed NOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to receive and <br /> file Officer's Reports for Hay, 1989. Hotion carried. <br /> <br />25. APPOINTMENT, DUI Task Force <br />As Chairman of the nominating committee of the DUI Task Force, Conrad <br />Rose requested that a Commissioner be appointed to represent the <br />County. Hr. Shannon was curious as to the County's involvement in <br />this and asked who was on it in the past. Mr. Rose stated that <br />Jeannette Stanton was representing the County Commission, but is now <br />serving at large since she was not re-elected to the County <br />Commission. Terms are for one year with a one year reappointment. <br />Mr. Shannon asked if the organization is older than two years, and <br />Mr. Rose was not sure but thought between two and three years old. <br /> NOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Hr. Sondrall seconded to appoint <br /> Alon Wieland to represent the Cass County Commission on the <br /> DUI Task Force. Motion carried. <br /> <br />26. SALE OF TAX LOT, City of Hest Fargo NOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to authorize <br /> the Chairman and Auditor to sign a County Deed to the City <br /> of Hast Fargo for the purchase of Lot 1, Block 11, Meadow <br /> Ridge 3rd Addition, City of West Fargo, for $1.O0; and to <br /> cancel the general tax in the amount of $12,210.85. On <br /> roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />27. LOST INSTRUMENT BOND, Received and filed NOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to receive <br /> and file the Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Shannon <br /> Eveslage, and authorize the Auditor to issue a duplicate <br /> check. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />28. CHECKS/WARRANTS OUTSTANDING, Cancelled NOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Shannon moved and Hr. Wieland seconded to cancel <br /> outstanding checks/warrants, which are at least one year <br /> old, according to a list furnished by County Treasurer <br /> Maxine Liversage. The Treasurer indicated in a letter that <br /> every attempt has been made to locate the holders of these <br /> warrant checks. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />29. NACo, Membership service fee approved NOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Hrs. Toussaint seconded that the <br /> County Auditor be authorized to pay the County membership <br /> service fee for 12 months to the National Association of <br /> Counties in the amount of $1,247. On roll call vote, the <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
