Minutes--June 6, 1989 268 <br /> <br />NOTION, passed <br />Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Vouchers <br />No. 3,187 through No. 4,074 be approved and ordered paid. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />27. LOST INSTRUMENT BONDS, Received and filed NOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to receive <br /> and file the Indemnity Bonds on Lost Instrument for Joel <br /> Liebl, Gall Yliniemi, Velva Peterson, Lawrence Bakken, <br /> Carlos Perez, Adeline Hartl, Clair Berg, and Beverly <br /> Thompson; and authorize the Auditor to issue duplicate <br /> checks. Motion carried. <br /> <br />28. APPOINTMENTS TO VARIOUS BOARDS, To be made June 20th <br /> NOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Hfs. Toussaint seconded that June 20, <br /> 1989, be set as the date for making appointments on various <br /> boards for terms expiring July 1st. Motion carried. <br /> <br />29. FEMA, Appreciation to employees A, Johnson, G. Ellingsberq, <br /> and L. Worden <br /> NOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that Alton <br /> Johnson, Maintenance Supervisor, receive a copy of a letter <br /> from the Federal Emergency Management Agency expressing <br /> their appreciation for Mr. Johnson's services during their <br /> Disaster Field Office operation in the Cass County EOC. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> NOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that Glenn <br /> Ellingsberg and Lyndon Worden receive a copy of a letter <br /> from the Federal Emergency Management Agency extending <br /> thanks for the help and cooperation from these two <br /> employees during their Disaster Field Of¢ice operation in <br /> the Cass County EOC. Motion carried. <br /> <br />30. HISTORICAL SOCIETY, County representation <br />Mr. Eckert stated that a letter was received from the Cass County <br />Historical Society in response to the County's letter regarding <br />County representation on boards, and they welcomed a member of the <br />Commission to serve as an ex-officio board member. The Commission <br />Secretary will notify the Historical Society that Commissioner Oscar <br />Sondrall will represent the County Commission on their Board. <br /> <br />31. COURTHOUSE, Public telephone contract <br />The County Auditor received a proposed contract with U.S. West <br />Communications for commissions on the public telephone in the <br />Courthouse. Robert Hoy stated that the proposed contract changes the <br />revenue structure, which should be more beneficial to the County. <br />Mr. Wieland asked to delay this item for 30 days, and he will contact <br />the telephone company about the possibility of having a second public <br />telephone installed in the Courthouse. <br /> <br />32. SALARY AND PERSONNEL POLICY STUDY, ~ide Helmeke billinR <br />Concerning a bill from Eide Helmeke Company in the amount of $504.00 <br />for review of the Oounty's policy manual with counsel, Mr. Eckert <br />stated that the contract which the Chairman signed states that <br /> <br /> <br />
