Sondrall moved and Hrs, Toussaint seconded to receive <br /> and file with the County Road Department the petition <br /> signed by all members of the Davenport Township Board for <br /> reconstruction of a portion of County Road 16 from <br /> Davenport west to State Highway 18, Hotion carried. <br /> <br />15. FLOOD REIHBURSEHENTS, Federal _o_j~_eration at EOC <br />Hr. Sondrall reported that 40-50 employees of the Federal G,.:~vernment <br />have set up operations in the Cass County Emergency Operatiof~s Center <br />to process damage claims caused by spring flooding along ~he Red <br />River in Cass County. <br /> <br />16. PLATTING AND LAND SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS, Fees set <br />County Planner Earl Haugen reported that the Amended Plat, Li~)9 and <br />Land Subdivision Regulations will become effective as oF 5:00 PH <br />today unless any protest petitio~ls are received prior to t, hat. He <br />stated that the fee schedule for making application for subdivision <br />approval was not specifically adopted. MOTION, passed <br /> Hr, Sondrall moved and Hr. Wieland seconded that the fee <br /> schedule for subdivision application be $100.00 for a <br /> single lot residential subdivision and $250,00 for minor <br /> and major subdivisions, as recommended by the County <br /> Planning Commission, On roll call vote, the motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />17. PLANNING ASSISTANT, Position BDproved <br />Earl Haugen reported that the County Planning Comm'ission u~}af)imously <br />recommended that the County Commission approve the position of a <br />planning assistant for 500 hours at a salary of $6.00/hour for a <br />total of $3,000. He stated that the basic need is to assist him with <br />the undertaking of the solid waste management plan, the Cout~ty park <br />plan, and other matters. He stated that the funding for the position <br />of a planning assistant was deleted during the 1989 budget hearing <br />last fall with the idea that the position be requested later' if it <br />was determined to be necessary. He indicated that the Southside <br />Sewer Project could reimburse the County Planner's time of 250 hours <br />from January, 1988 to the present, and these funds could be used to <br />pay for the planning assistant position. MOTION, passed <br /> Mr, Shannon moved and Hfs. Toussaint seconded to allow this <br /> position to be created for the County Planner subject to <br /> discussions with the Auditor and the Accountant about <br /> procedures for the availability of funds and that it be <br /> done in close coordination with the Personnel Assistant, <br /> subject to funds availability. On roll call vote, the <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />18. SOUTHSIDE SEWER FACILITY PLAN, Public hearin~ set <br />Earl Haugen reported that the next public hearing on the Southside <br />Sewer Project will be held on June 6, 1989, at 7:00 PM at Atonement <br />Lutheran Church. <br /> <br /> <br />
