Comm. Minutes--May 2, 1989 247 26. BEER LICENSE RENEWAL, Bison Shooting park Mr. Bill Walker appeared before the Board to request renewal of his Beer License at the Bison Shooting Park located in Warren Township. Neither the Sheriff's Office or the States Attorney had received any complaints on this establishment. Mr. Walker stated that he may apply for the Sunday sales endorsement at a later date. Mr. Wieland asked when he plans to open for business, and Mr. Walker stated that it would be this evening. The Commission requested that he make application earlier in the future, preferably when other licenses are annually renewed each December. MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Hrs. Toussaint seconded to grant renewal of the County Beer License for Walker Investment, Inc., doing business as Bison Shooting Park, for 1989. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 27. FLOOD DAMAGE, Disaster Emergency services report Glenn Ellingsberg provided Commissioners with a written report and was present at this time stating that the recent flood damage within all of Cass County has been assessed. If a Presidential Disaster Declaration is issued, the Federal Emergency Hanagement Agency has asked to locate their disaster field office at the Cass County Emergency Operations Center. MOTION, passed Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to allow the Federal Emergency Management Agency to use the Emergency Operations Center as their headquarters for providing government briefings and processing of claims for disaster funds. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 28. JAIL ADVISORY COMMITTEE, commissioR representatives appointed MOTION, passed Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that Commissioners Don Eckert and Alon Wieland serve as the representatives of the Cass County Commission on the Jail Advisory Committee. Both Mr. Wieland and Mr. Eckert stated that they would defer to Mr. Shannon to sit on the committee, but he respectfully declined. On roll call vote, the motion carried with four members voting "Aye", Mr. Eckert passing his vote. 29. JAIL ADVISORY COMMITTEE, Appointments made MOTION, passed Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to appoint the Jail Advisory Committee according to the list provided, with names to be added from the Fargo Chamber of Commerce, the Township Officers, Commissioner Districts 1 and 5, and to leave the user position open at this time to be added later or to use testimony at the time it is needed. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 30. VOUCHERS, Reviewed MOTION, tabled Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Shannon seconded that Vouchers No. 2,428 through No. 3,186 be approved and ordered paid. However, Mr. Eckert reviewed the bills prior to the meeting today and questioned two of them. Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to table the motion. Motion carried.
