Comm. Hinutes--May 2, 1989 244 MOTION, passed Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve this type of construction for the bridge deck on County Road 6 over the Maple River near Durbin. Motion carried. 12. BRIDGE ON ROSE COULEE, construction and Maintenance A~reements MOTION, passed Mr. Sondrall moved and Hr. Wieland seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the agreements with the State of North Dakota for construction and maintenance of a bridge over the Rose Coulee in Stanley Township located one mile east of the City of Prairie Rose and south of the new Fargo Centennial School. Mr. Eckert stated that he is not in favor of this because the City of Fargo completed their annexation in that area excluding that portion with the bridge. Mr. Richards stated that the County is helping the township to reconstruct this bridge, and these agreements are necessary in order to facilitate this project. The motion carried on roll call vote with four members voting "Aye", and Mr. Eckert opposing. 13. U.S. WEST, Utility permit granted MOTION, passed Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign a utility relocation and adjustment agreement with U.S. West Communications in connection with the bridge project over the Rose Coulee. Motion carried. 14. U.S. WEST & CASS COUNTY ELECTRIC, Utility permits siqned MOTION, passed Mr. Sondrall moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the utility permits with U.S. West Communications to bury cable on the south side of County Road 26 west of Gardner between County Road 11 and Interstate 29 and under County Road 22 one mile west of County Road 13 near Prosper in Raymond Township; and a utility permit with Cass County Electric for buried cable under County Road 17 approximately two and one-half miles south of Horace. Motion carried. 15. ROAD DEPARTMENT, Purchase of pick-up MOTION, passed Upon the recommendation of County Engineer Don Richards, Mr. Shannon moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to accept the lowest quote for one new pick-up from Gateway Chevrolet in the amount of $13,755; which is outlined in their budget for the current year. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. 16. ROAD ALIGNMENT, Durbin and AddisoR Townships Discussion was held with Don Richards regarding designation of a segment of a township road near Durbin as County 'Road 9 and the redesignation of a segment of the existing County Road 9 near Durbin as a township road. Hr. Eckert suggested a meeting, prior to the next Commission meeting, with the two Commissioners having the road portfolio, this being himself and Alon Wieland, and with the States Attorney, the County Engineer, and Durbin and Addison Townships.
