Shannon asked Hiss Brumfield for a recommendation on a stipend <br />for Roxane Friese, and to present it to the County Commission at their <br />special meeting on Thursday, April 6th, after the County Planning <br />Commission meeting. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Shannon moved and Hr. Sondrall seconded that <br /> on a temporary basis, the Data Processing <br /> department be placed under the arm of the <br /> Auditor's Office. Hotion carried. <br /> <br />Hr. Shannon asked Roxane Friese, who was present, if she had any <br />concern other than salary or if there was any particular crises as <br />far as the computer system, and she indicated there were none. <br /> <br />29.BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS, Supervision NOTJON, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded <br /> that for the time being, any questions concerning <br /> the Courthouse buildings and grounds be addressed <br /> to Commissioner Sondrall. Mr. Sondrall stated <br /> that this has always been his portfolio, but Hr. <br /> Eckert stated that it was assigned to Mr, Offutt <br /> on a daily basis.' Notion carried. <br /> <br />30.DATA PROCESSING MANAGER, Bep!aceme~t <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Shannon moved and Hr. Sondrall seconded that <br /> Accountant Mike Montplaisir prepare a <br /> recommendation for the special meeting on <br /> Thursday, April 8th, on how the Commission might <br /> approach replacement of staff in Data Processing. <br /> Notion carried. <br /> <br />31.COURTHOUSE, Telephone syste~ <br />Hr. Eckert stated that he will ask Glenn Ellingsberg from the <br />Sheriff's Department to be responsible for telephone maintenance on <br />a temporary basis. This was agr-eeable with the other Commissioners. <br />Mr. Eckert indicated a desire to contract for this type of service in <br />the future rather than delegating it to a County employee. <br /> <br />32.PERSONNEL DEPARTHENT, SUDgEyjs~OB NOTION, passed <br /> Hr. Shannon moved and Hr. Sondra11 seconded that <br /> the County Personnel Department be placed under <br /> the arm of the Auditor's Office on a temporary <br /> basis. Motion carried. <br /> <br />33.COMMISSION MEETINGS, Public mee~in~e <br />Mr. St~annon staled that this is a public board and is governed by the <br />laws of the State of North Dakota to do business in public view. <br />Mr. EckerL stated that he did not appreciate a Commissioner asking <br />witho~t Board approva'l for the resignation of anybody connected with <br />the Co~Jnty. <br /> <br /> <br />
