Minutes--March 21, 1989 212 <br /> of Casselton, Page, and Alice for the sale of tax-forfeited <br /> property; and to cancel the general taxes for four parcels in <br /> the City of Casselton in the amount of $2,185.85, for one parcel <br /> in the City of Page in the amount of $336.77, and for one parcel <br /> in the City of Alice in the amount of $50.70. On roll call <br /> vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />34.DISTRICT COURT ORDER, Guardian fee MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. 8ondrall moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded to approve <br /> payment of a bill in the amount of $872.50 to James <br /> Brothers for a Guardian Ad Litem fee, as ordered by <br /> District Judge Cynthia A. Rothe, subject to the Sates <br /> Attorney asking for a modification of the Court Order to <br /> allow the County to try to recoup those costs. On roll <br /> call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />35.RAFFLE PERMIT, Embden <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mrs. Toussaint moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to approve <br /> the application for a raffle permit for the Embden <br /> Community Club on Fridays during the months of May and <br /> June, 1989, at the Embden Community Center. Mr. Sondrall <br /> did not feel it is fair to allow this many raffles on one <br /> County permit. Mr. Eckert stated that he was informed by <br /> the Attorney General's Office that this is permissible as <br /> long as they only have one drawing per week. On roll call <br /> vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />36.FARGO-CASS EDC, Budget oayment MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to approve the <br /> first half of the budget payment in the amount of $54,500 <br /> to the Fargo-Cass County Economic Development Corporation, <br /> az presented by the Auditor. Mr. Wieland outlined the <br /> benefits to Cass County in answer to questions by Mr. <br /> Shannon. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> <br />37.WEED CONTROL, Purchase truck MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Shannon seconded to approve the <br /> request of $11,545 for the purchase of a 1989 Ford truck by <br /> the Cass County Weed Control Board, which is included in <br /> their 1989 budget. Hr. Shannon amended the motion to <br /> include that beginning with this purchase, vehicle titles <br /> be held by the County Auditor. On roll call vote, the <br /> motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
