Motion carried. <br /> <br />21.PLATTING REGULATIONS, Postponed for A.G. opinion <br /> County Planner Earl Haugen stated that the Amended Platting and Land <br /> Subdivision Regulations were postponed from the last meeting. He <br /> understands the Attorney General's opinion will be mailed from <br /> Bismarck today, and he will forward a copy to the Commissioners. <br /> <br />22.COUNTY CO~tlSSION, Special meeting <br /> Chairman Eckert announced that the Cass County Commission will hold <br /> a special meeting on April 6, 1989, at 10:00 A.M. after the County <br /> Planning Commission meeting that day, to consider adopting the <br /> amended platting and land subdivision regulations. <br /> <br />23.VOTING EQUIPMENT, Ballot reader <br /> Accountant Mike Montplaisir proposed an agreement with the City of <br /> Fargo to allow himself and Mark Thelen, Fargo Director of Finance, <br /> to begin financial arrangements to purchase an additional ballot <br /> reader for the 1990 election. States Attorney Robert Hoy has <br /> reviewed the contract and approved it as an agreement in principal. <br /> MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Shannon moved and Mrs. Toussaint seconded that the <br /> Chairman be authorized to sign the agreement in principal <br /> with the City of Fargo to secure a new ballot reader. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> <br />24.COMMISSION MEETING, Recessed <br /> The Chairman declared a 45-minute recess until 12:45 P.M., after <br /> which time the meeting was reconvened with all members present. <br /> <br />25.BIDS, Road paving MOTION, passed <br /> Upon the recommendation of the County Engineer, Mrs. <br /> Toussaint moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to award the low <br /> bid of Border States Paving, Inc., in the amount of <br /> $1,115,541.66, for County Road 17 paving at Horace. On <br /> roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />26.ROAD PETITION, C17 paving MOTION, passed <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and <br /> file a petition containing approximately 1,000 signatures <br /> from the people in the Horace area requesting the paving of <br /> County Road 17.
