150 Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Social Services be authorized to hire staff replacement for Carrol Heston in Pay Grade 14 at a salary of $],009 per month. Motion carried. Mr. Sondrall moved and. Mr. Larson seconded that Social Services be authorized to convert a medical clerk position to an eligibility specialist position in Pay Grade 17 at a salary of $1,161 per month. Motion carried. Mrs. Stanton stated that Social Services needs to contact the Personnel Department. Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded to grant approval for Social Services to extend the temporary receptionist position for an additional 15 days to the end of 1988. The position was approved at budget time for 1989. Motion carried. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Social Services be authorized to begin recruiting and hiring for an eligibility specialist position which was approved in the 1989 budget, but Social Services has money left in the 1988 budget and has a need to fill the position before the end of the year. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to grant permission for out of state travel for Social Services employee, Gil Engel, to St. Cloud, Minnesota, on November 22, 1988. Motion carried. Upon the request of Jim Berglie from the Social Services Community Survival Program, Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that he be authorized to hire staff replacement for Barb Greene as a Homemaker in Pay Grade 9, and to fill one part-time position in Pay Grade 12. Motion carried. Mrs. Stanton reminded Mr. Berglie to contact the Personnel Department before hiring. Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file the Officer's Reports for October, 1988. Motion carried. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant an application for a raffle permit for the Zion Lutheran Church Women of Harwood on the date of December 11, 1988. Motion carried. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to receive and file the Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Border States Paving, Inc. in the amount of $306,982.37, and authorize the County Auditor to issue a duplicate check. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Upon the request of Sheriff Don Rudnick, Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Sheriff's Department be authorized to advertise for informal bids for three full-size vehicles, and to report back to the Commission next week. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
