150 <br /> <br /> Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Social <br />Services be authorized to hire staff replacement for Carrol Heston in <br />Pay Grade 14 at a salary of $],009 per month. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and. Mr. Larson seconded that Social Services <br />be authorized to convert a medical clerk position to an eligibility <br />specialist position in Pay Grade 17 at a salary of $1,161 per month. <br />Motion carried. Mrs. Stanton stated that Social Services needs to <br />contact the Personnel Department. <br /> <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded to grant approval for <br />Social Services to extend the temporary receptionist position for an <br />additional 15 days to the end of 1988. The position was approved at <br />budget time for 1989. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Social Services <br />be authorized to begin recruiting and hiring for an eligibility <br />specialist position which was approved in the 1989 budget, but Social <br />Services has money left in the 1988 budget and has a need to fill the <br />position before the end of the year. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to grant permission <br />for out of state travel for Social Services employee, Gil Engel, to <br />St. Cloud, Minnesota, on November 22, 1988. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Upon the request of Jim Berglie from the Social Services <br />Community Survival Program, Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton <br />seconded that he be authorized to hire staff replacement for Barb <br />Greene as a Homemaker in Pay Grade 9, and to fill one part-time <br />position in Pay Grade 12. Motion carried. Mrs. Stanton reminded <br />Mr. Berglie to contact the Personnel Department before hiring. <br /> <br /> Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to receive and file <br />the Officer's Reports for October, 1988. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant an <br />application for a raffle permit for the Zion Lutheran Church Women <br />of Harwood on the date of December 11, 1988. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to receive and file <br />the Indemnity Bond on Lost Instrument for Border States Paving, Inc. <br />in the amount of $306,982.37, and authorize the County Auditor to <br />issue a duplicate check. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> Upon the request of Sheriff Don Rudnick, Mr. Larson moved and <br />Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Sheriff's Department be authorized to <br />advertise for informal bids for three full-size vehicles, and to <br />report back to the Commission next week.
