101 <br /> <br /> A bid opening was scheduled for 10=00 AH on the purchase of <br />property and liability insurance. One bid was received from the <br />Dawson Insurance Agency for liability insurance, and Mr. Bob Dawson <br />was present. The County Auditor received premium reneNal notices <br />from the State Fire and Tornado Fund for property insurance, but the <br />figures do not reflect changes which Mere made in the insurance <br />specifications. Mr. Eokert stated that he Nas informed by the <br />States Attorney that the County is not required to secure bids for <br />insurance but may negotiate for it. <br /> <br /> Hr. Larson moved and Mr. Nieland seconded to accept the bid of <br />Dawson Insurance Agency in the amount of $122,017.00 for County <br />liability insurance as quoted. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> Hr. Wieland moved and Hr. Larson seconded that the Chairman be <br />authorized to negotiate with the State Fire and Tornado Fund for <br />County property insurance for the next 12 months. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> Administrative Assistant Diana Murack reported that Intern Terry <br />Baumgarten assisted with scheduling an employees seminar on July 26th <br />and department heads on September 20th regarding the Employee's <br />Assistance Program. <br /> <br /> Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Diana Muraok and <br />Personnel lechnician Sandra 8rumfield be authorized to attend the <br />Internal Revenue Oode Section 89 Seminar dealing with health <br />insurance and personnel on July 21, 1988, at a cost of $50.00 each. <br />On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Concerning a revised draft of a Bonanzaville <br />presented by Diana Murack, Mr. Wieland stated that <br />grammatically correct and needs to be updated. <br /> <br />agreement <br />it is not <br /> <br /> Hrs. Stanton asked for Diana Muraok's time log, and asked her <br />to continue to keep track of her time until she is told not to. <br /> <br /> Concerning terms expiring July 31 on the County Social Services <br />Board, Mr. Wieland proposed changing the membership to include more <br />areas of expertise such as someone representing senior citizens, the <br />medical field, business, banking or accounting, education, law <br />enforcement, and private citizen. He felt that two Commissioners <br />instead of three could represent the County Commission. He stated <br />that he will submit names from the above categories and asked other <br />members of the Commission to submit names to the secretary by Friday. <br />Hr.
