Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to <br />appoint Commissioner Jeannette Stanton to serve on a committee to <br />represent the Commission. Motion carried. Warren Solberg from <br />Stanley Townshlp suggested the name of Mrs. C.W. SamueI to represent <br />their area on a committee. <br /> <br /> Mr. Larson moved and Mr. SondraI1 seconded that Mr. Francis <br />Kiein of Wahpeton, ND be offered the position of Cass County Director <br />of Tax Equalization effective Juiy i, i988, at an annuaI salary of <br />$27,000.00 pius up to $i,000.00 in moving expenses. On rolI cali <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> A ietter was received from Florenz Bjornson, Mayor of <br />West Fargo, in which she enciosed a resume' of Katrina Doi1 for the <br />position of rural representative on the West Fargo Planning and <br />Zoning Commission. Mr. Wieiand moved and Mr. Sondrai1 seconded to <br />appoint Katrina DoII to the West Fargo Planning and Zoning Commission <br />from their extra-territorial area to fill the unexpired term of Mary <br />Witt, which expires July 1, 1990. On roll call vote, the motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br /> Chairman Eokert requested Administrative Assistant Diana Muraok <br />to send a letter to the Fargo City Commission reminding them to <br />appoint a representative to the Cass County Pianning Commission to <br />replace former City Commissioner, Jeff Frankhauser. <br /> <br /> County Auditor Ordelle Brua reported that she has received <br />applications from 21 persons quaiified for the position of accountant <br />in the Auditor's Office. Mr. Eokert suggested that the Commissioners <br />review the applications and attempt to schedule interviews next week. <br />The Auditor stated that the Commission needs to make a determination <br />on the salary. <br /> <br /> Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Chairman be <br />authorized to sign the County Deed to the City of Page for the sale <br />of tax-delinquent property, and to cancel the general taxes in the <br />amount of $227.12. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br /> Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded that Sandra <br />Brumfieid, Personnel Technician, be authorized to have i,O00 copies <br />of a revised Cass County empioyment application form printed at a <br />cost of approximately $40.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimousiy. Mr. Wieland asked that the Commission be aIlowed until <br />the end of the week to review it before it goes to the printer. <br /> <br /> A letter was received from the Minn-Kota Chapter of the <br />Red Cross requesting the Commission to reconsider their request for <br />parking space at the Juvenile Justice Center lot. Mr. Larson moved <br />and Mr. Sondrai1 seconded that the Chairman send a letter stating <br />that they are welcome to use the parking lot on weekday evenings <br />after 5:00 PM and before 8:00 AM, and aisc on weekends and holidays. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
