10 Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Larson seconded to advertise for a replacement of County Planner Jerry McOullough; to consider the hiring of Earl Haugen as interim planner until such time as a replacement is named, this being at a salary to be determined; and that the applicants for the position be reviewed by the County Planning Commission with a recommendation to the Cass County Commission. Mr. Larson amended the motion, seconded by Mrs. Stanton that Commissioner Don Eokert and Planning Commission Chairman Don Hanson be authorized to hire Earl Haugen beginning January 20, 1988, and to negotiate the salary. On roll call vote, the amended motion carried with only Mr. Wieland opposing. On roll call vote, the original motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to approve payment of $25.00 to Hilbert Hanson for his service on the Cass County Tuition Board. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to approve a Raffle Permit to the Kindred Lion's Club on March 26, 1988 at the Kindred School. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the County Deed to David Johnson for the purchase of Lot 49, Forest River Addition, Stanley Township, and to cancel the general taxes and specials in the amount of $75.82. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Larson seconded to approve payment of $175.00 for 1988 dues in the North Dakota County Commissioners Association. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign the Salary and Pay Grade form for Shona Dockter at a salary of $667.00 per month as a part-time employee in the States Attorney's Office in the Victim/Witness Advocate Program. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to receive and file a letter from Tom Jensen, Social Services Director, regarding 1988 salary adjustments for professional employees. Motion carried. Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Larson seconded to receive and file a letter from Lambert Vogel stating that he would still be interested in the County Surveyor position if the County decided to fill the position at a later date. Motion carried. Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the necessary papers with the Oity of Casselton for rental of a County shop building and for the sale of a snow plow for $100.00. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to receive and file a letter from Anderson's Inc. of Edgeley, ND regarding a road grader which they have for sale. Motion carried.
