Diana Muraok reported that the South Oentral Regional Oouncil has requested her assistance on a data processing task force and possibly a financial task force. She estimated the time involvement on her part to be about four days per month. Mrs. Stanton expressed concern over needing the ~dministrative Assistant's services in Cass County, and Mr. Wieland suggested limiting her time spent away to two days per month, if possible. She stated that a letter will be forthcoming from Barnes County explaining that they intend to pay for her services, plus mileage. Mr. Wieland suggested preparing a written contract. A report was received from the Cass County Planning Commission unanimously recommending denial of the incorporation petition for Round Hill, ND. Attorney Jonathan Garaas has requested time on the agenda next Tuesday to discuss setting a public hearing before the Cass County Commission. Mr. Nieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to amend the terms of William Thompson on the Rush River Water Resource District and Morris Melander on the North Cass Water Resource District to three year terms instead of five years, pursuant to NDCO 61-16-08; and that a letter be sent to Mr. Thompson and Mr. Melander, with copies to legal counsel and the secretary of the Water Resource District Boards. Motion carried unanimousiy. Mrs. Stanton made a suggestion to request the Secretary of the Water Resource District Boards to record the time that meetings begin and end, and the other Commissioners present had no objection to this. Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Larson seconded to request the Fargo-Cass County Economic Development Corporation to appoint Diana Muraok, Administrative Assistant, to represent the staff from Oass County. Motion carried. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Jim Berglie from the Social Services Community Survival Program be authorized to fill the third position of the three authorized for the Independent Supportive Living Arrangement program, this being a part-time Homemaker II position. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. Mr. Wieland referred to a letter from Bonnie Johnson, Child Support Enforcement Director, concerning Martin Luther King Day; and he felt that she interpreted the County's Personnel Policy Manual differently than the Commission where it relates to holidays declared by the Governor of North Dakota or by the President of the United States. Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to accept with regrets the letter of resignation from Jerry McCullough, Cass County Planner, effective January 29, 1988, and to send him a letter of thanks for his conscientious work for Cass County. Motion carried.
