ii <br /> <br /> States Attorney Robert Hoy again appeared before the Board with <br />Attorney Terry Wiles regarding the application for County Beer and <br />Liquor License for PiG New Horizons, Inc. Mr. Hoy presented a <br />proposed resolution giving conditional approval of said licenses. <br />He stated that he consulted with Dean Wawers from the Sheriff's <br />Office, and Mrs. Stanton requested an opportunity to review the <br />information he presented thus far and she would like to visit with <br />Hr. Wawers before making a decision. Mr. Wieland also stated that <br />he would prefer to have the Sheriff's Office inform the Commission <br />of their investigations. The Board decided to recess this meeting <br />until 9:15 A.M. 'Thursday to allow more time for review in this <br />case. <br /> <br /> Upon the recommendation of Oass County Engineer Don Richards, <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mr. Larson seconded to accept the following <br />high bids for the sale of four motor graders: Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Unit ~112 <br />Unit ~114 <br />Unit ~119 <br />Unit ~120 <br /> <br />Fargo Parts & Equipment $6,950.00 <br />Fargo Parts & Equipment $6,550.00 <br />Butler Machinery Company $15,100.00 <br />Red River Valley Fair $5,501.00 <br /> <br /> On motion by Mr. Larson and seconded by Mrs. Stanton, the <br />Chairman declared the meeting recessed until 9:15 A.M.Thursday, <br />January 21, 1988, for the purpose of completing the agenda items. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />RECESSED MEETING OF OASS COUNTY BOARD OF OOMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />JANUARY 21, 1988 <br /> <br /> Chairman Don Eokert called the recessed meeting of January 19th <br />back to order with all members present as follows: Jeannette <br />Stanton, Ray Larson, Oscar Sondrall, Alon Wieland and Don EokeFt. <br /> <br /> The Ohairman stated that the primary reason for recessing <br />Tuesday's meeting was to address the issue of an application for a <br />County beer and liquor license at the Lower 48, Wild Rice, ND. <br />Attorney Terry Wiles was present on behalf of P & G New Horizons, <br />Inc. along with Peter Werner, Vice President/Secretary of said <br />corporation. Also present was States Attorney Robert Hoy who stated <br />that he had nothing further to report. Dean Wawers from the County <br />Sheriff's Office was also present and stated that he delivered to <br />the 80aFd's Administrative Assistant additional information which <br />explains the documentation and the various records checks performed <br />by himself. He stated that in the future, he would have some <br />suggestions for instituting additional items in his investigation <br />but was not given enough time in this instance. Mrs. Stanton <br />stated that she is very unhappy about granting this in view of some <br />of the background checks but would consent to the approval today <br />because it now goes to the Attorney General's Office. <br /> <br /> <br />
