Cass County Situation Report Submitted by: Greg McDonald, Emergency Manager

o

RESOURCES: City resources are stretched to the limit in the above cities due to
debris clean-up. Local insurance companies were seen in these cities working with
some homeowners. State and county law enforcement/highway departments
responded to the semi-tractor trailer incidents near Argusville and 1-29.

LOCAL: Responders included fire departments, rescue squads, law enforcement
agencies, emergency management and ambulance services from Fargo, Arthur,
Grandin, Gardner, Argusville, Harwood, Buffalo, and Hunter. These groups were
either dispatched or self-dispatched within their respective cities to assist in debris
clean-up and to check on residents of some homes.

o

VOLUNTEER ACTION: Volunteer fire fighters have been tasked. Many volunteers
from within and outside of the cities most severely inflicted with tree debris were
seen busily helping each other.

7. MAJOR ACTIONS: Debris clean-up and power restoration and repair to power lines
are the major actions taking place at this time in Cass County.

8. ASSISTANCE NEEDED: No additional assistance has been requested.

9. OUTSIDE HELP ON SCENE: Several crews attached to Cass County Electric and
Minn-Kota Electric have been dispatched into Cass County.

10.
