do <br /> <br />Voter education program on how to correctly cast a ballot for each type of <br />voting system, and how to utilize the second chance voting capabilities of <br /> <br />each. <br /> i. <br /> ii. <br /> <br />iii. <br /> <br />iv, <br /> <br />Timetable: January 1, 2006 <br />Criteria: Establishment and implementation of a voter <br />education program specific to each type of voting system, <br />clearly explaining to voters how to correctly cast a ballot, <br />correct an error, how to obtain a replacement ballot, and <br />the effect of casting multiple votes for an office. Materials <br />and training will be available in alternate, accessible <br />formats and will be designed to meet the needs of a <br />diverse audience. <br />How Criteria is Judged: <br /> a) Success of meeting this performance goal is based <br /> on the establishment and implementation of a voter <br /> education program developed and coordinated with <br /> county election officials; and <br />b) Through comparison of the number of incorrect <br /> ballots cast prior to the implementation of voter <br /> education program and the number of incorrect <br /> ballots cast following the implementation of the <br /> voter education program. <br /> Responsible Official: Secretary of State with the <br /> cooperation of county election officials and the assistance <br /> of the North Dakota Association of Counties. <br /> <br />Accessibility for individuals with disabilities. <br /> i. Timetable: January 1, 2006 <br /> ii. Criteria: Implementation of at least one direct recording <br /> electronic voting device equipped with audio capability and <br /> any other accessible devices deemed necessary in each <br /> polling location in the state, and assuring the minimum <br /> physical accessibility of polling places, as deemed <br /> necessary by the state, have been met. <br /> iii. How Criteria is Judged: Success of meeting this <br /> performance goal is based on the placement of at least <br /> one direct recording electronic voting device equipped with <br /> audio capability in each polling location in the state; and <br /> the number of valid accessibility-related complaints <br /> received by the Secretary of State. <br /> iv. Responsible Official: Secretary of State with the <br /> cooperation of county election officials and the assistance <br /> of the North Dakota Association of Counties. <br /> <br />Posting of voting information in polling locations. <br /> i. Timetable: January 1,2006 <br /> ii. Criteria: Posting of the required voting information in "easy <br /> to understand language," and in alternate, accessible <br /> formats in each polling location.
