The training room is being used extensively. It is being
used for new staff training, BCI fingerprint classes,
regional ZPC/Direct Supervision classes, and State Radio
NCIC entry classes. The room is well equipped and
functions as intended.

A third workstation in the shift supervisors' office is
being considered and additional storage space is
needed to keep "stuff" from collecting on top of the
cabinets above the workstations. Also, Sgt. Worden
noted that access to the supervisors' office should have
been from the secure side. As is, the supervisors find
themselves going in and out of the secure perimeter via
the sally port many times per day.

The records room (off of Booking) is being well
maintained by jail staff. Restraints are hanging on pegboard hooks.
Items that cannot be hung up have been placed on
shelving. Restraints are numbered and tagged indicating
they belong to Cass County.

The work release area is full (32 inmates) and is a mix of
work release and minimum security inmates. Towel
hooks have been added to the work release dormitories
to keep inmates from hanging their towels over the
dividers. The work release workstation coUld use a
bulletin board for "pass-on" notes and the
