Red River <br />Water <br /> <br />cHanagement <br />onsottium <br /> <br />The Energy & Environmental Research <br /> <br />Center (EERC), the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and <br />stakeholders in the Red River of the North Basin teamed to form the Red <br />River Water Management Consortium (RRWMCTM) in 1996 to resolve water <br />supply, flood protection, and water quality issues in the basin. <br /> <br />The <br /> RRWMCsM <br /> '~ "~ro~ ram ~, established a partnership <br />between its members--representing industry, municipalities, and other <br />interested entitles--and state and federal governments to address critical <br />issues that may impact the water resources of the region. <br /> <br />The RRWMCsM Members direct the development <br />of annual work plan activities in the following areas: 1) technology <br />assessment, development, and demonstration; 2) water resource assessment <br />and analysis; 3) anthropogenic impacts on water resources; 4) ~vater <br />resource monitoring; $) education and information dissemination; and <br />6) development of a watershed management conceptual model and strategy. <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />Dakota <br /> <br />.~ ~XcelEner~y: - - -, <br /> <br />RED RIVER REGIONAL COUNCIL <br /> <br />'' s~i~plot - <br /> <br /> <br />
