Red River Water Management Consortium <br /> <br />Ongoing Activities <br /> <br />· Help coordinate biological monitoring in the Red <br /> River Basin and facilitate a basin biological monitor- <br /> lng work group. <br /> <br />· Assist in the development of a local municipal source <br /> water assessment. <br /> <br />· Assist in the application of a Watershed Restoration <br /> Action Strategy for the Pembina River Basin. <br /> <br />· Monitor groundwater quality in the vicinity of a con- <br /> trolled animal-feeding operation to ensure environ- <br /> mental quality. <br /> <br />Provide water management master planning assis- <br />tance to a major Red River Valley industrial water <br />user. <br /> <br />Evaluate select Red River tributaries to identify ripar- <br />ian problem areas. <br /> <br />The RRWMCs" Advisory Group <br /> <br />brings together representatives of state and federal <br />agencies and local nongovernment organizations with an <br />interest in water issues to provide advice and input on <br />consortium activities.
