Samuel <br />to Fargo Planning <br />Letter of thanks <br />for Co. employees <br />donating blood <br />Personnel Assistant <br />position re-adv. <br />PROCEEDINGS OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF CASS COUNTY, NORTH DAKOTA <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that Administrative Assistant Diana Murack be authorized <br />to proceed with the program of working with three Moorhead State University students as interns to help <br />develop a financial statement for governmental accounting. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to approve payment of $500.00 from the County Contingency <br />Fund for the band that played at the North Dakota County Commissioners Convention in Fargo. On roll call <br />vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to grant approval for a raffle permit for the Chaffee <br />Summer Recreation Program at the Chaffee School on the date of March 12, 1988. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />Several applications were received for one term on the Maple River Water Resource District and for <br />one term on the Southeast Cass Water Resource District. Mr. Eckert stated that he is aware of more <br />interest in these appointments and asked that they be delayed until January 5, 1988. A question was <br />asked on whether State law requires hiring a County Surveyor, and this will be further reviewed. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to reappoint Wayne Kyser and Keith Monilaws to the County <br />Park Board for the year 1988. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to reappoint Don Hanson and Carl Elofson to the Cass <br />County Planning Commission for 4 -year terms to expire January 1, 1992. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to reappoint George Griffeth to the Southeastern North <br />Dakota Community Action Agency for a term to expire January 1, 1990. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to reappoint Alvin Johnson and Maura Jones to the Human <br />Services Board for 2 -year terms to expire January 1, 1990. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to appoint Dr. Clarence Samuel to the Fargo Planning <br />Commission from the extra territorial area to complete the unexpired term of Douglas Seiler ending <br />July 1, 1988. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to receive and file the letter from United Blood Services <br />expressing their appreciation to the County for allowing time for County employees to donate blood. <br />Motion carried. <br />Regarding the newly created position of personnel assistant, Diana Murack reported that Richard <br />Offutt has re-advertised for applications and will be interviewing additional persons. <br />On motion by Mrs. Stanton and seconded by Mr. Sondrall, the meeting was adjourned. <br />
