REGULAR MEETING OF CASS COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />JULY 14, 1987 <br />Chairman Alon Wieland called the meeting to order with all members <br />present as follows: Jeannette Stanton, Don Eckert, Oscar Sondrall, <br />Ray Larson and Alon Wieland. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the minutes of <br />the previous meeting be approved as written. Motion carried. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to grant permission <br />for out of state travel for two people from the Regional Child Support <br />Enforcement Unit to attend the national convention in Minneapolis, <br />MN on August 23 -27, 1987. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded to grant permission <br />for out of state travel for Joyce Temanson, Social Services employee, <br />to St. Cloud, MN on July 17, 1987. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded that the Chairman <br />be authorized to sign the Salary and Pay Grade form authorizing the <br />hiring of Jo L. Winefeldt as a clerk in the Auditor's Office on a <br />full -time basis for a 6 -month period in pay grade 3 at a salary of <br />$900 per month. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to renew the County' s <br />insurance policy as proposed by Dawson Insurance Agency in the amount <br />of $109,728.00 for the period of August 1, 1987 through August 1, <br />1988. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded to authorize the <br />Chairman to sign the Cooperative Agreement between Cass County and <br />the East Central Judicial District Court, as presented by Data <br />Processing Manager Richard Offutt, for programming of Cass County <br />District Court files. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />County Planner Jerry McCullough provided information on a rental <br />rehabilitation program through the Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development. He stated that there is no money available for <br />administrative costs, and the program is very labor intensive at the <br />beginning. The Chairman instructed Mr. McCullough to bring it up <br />at a later date if he hears of any interest in the program. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Jim Berglie, <br />Director of the Community Survival Program, be authorized to hire <br />one person for the Independent Supported Living Arrangement program <br />for a period initially of 90 days, as approved by the County Social <br />Services Board. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />
