Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Commission <br />send a letter, as in the past, to the North Dakota Highway Patrol <br />District Office thanking them and requesting their assistance again <br />in the enforcement of County road restrictions. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that Vouchers <br />No. 72,337 through No. 73,200 be approved and ordered paid. On roll <br />call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Larson seconded that the Chairman be <br />authorized to sign the County Deed to Wallace C. and Ramona Tabor <br />for Lots 15 and 16, Block 14, North of Track, City of Buffalo. On <br />roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Larson moved and Mr. Eckert seconded that the Chairman be <br />authorized to sign two County Deeds to the City of Amenia for Lots <br />3 and the north one -half of 4, Block 2 and Lot 2, Block 6, Original <br />Addition to the City of Amenia; and to cancel the taxes in the amount <br />of $779.39. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />The Commission received reports on overtime from several <br />departments. The Chairman suggested referring them to Commissioner <br />Stanton. <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Larson seconded that Lt. Arland <br />Rasmussen be authorized out of state travel on March 23 -25, 1987, <br />to attend a quarterly meeting of the Mid -State Organized Crime <br />Information Center to be held in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Motion <br />carried. <br />The Chairman reported that Mr. Clark Knodle requested permission <br />to contact County employees concerning an HMO -type dental care <br />program. Mr. Wieland advised him of the County' s policy on contacting <br />employees. <br />Correspondence was received from the Sheriff's Department <br />stating that they have received complaints from the public about their <br />telephone system. It appears there are not enough trunk lines, and <br />Administrative Assistant Scott Krueger stated that indications are <br />that 3% of the day, someone could get a busy signal when dialing a <br />County office. He stated that the cost is about $65.00 per month <br />for a trunk. Mr. Sondrall asked about replacing the pay phones that <br />were removed from the Courthouse hallways. Mr. Krueger stated that <br />there will be pay phones in the two alley entrances, and Mr. Wieland <br />suggested a third pay phone in the building. The correspondence from <br />the Sheriff was referred to Mr. Krueger. <br />Correspondence from the Brown County States Attorney in Aberdeen, <br />SD, regarding extraordinary medical care for indigents, was referred <br />to the County Social Services Director. <br />The Chairman suggested discussing replacement of County Court <br />Reporter Janet Honek next week when Mrs. Stanton will be present. <br />The Chairman will not be present next week, but he stated that he <br />
