Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded to reappoint Mrs. <br />Francis Hartl, Clair E. Berg, George Griffeth and Richard Hilborn <br />to the Cass County Social Services Board for additional 3 -year terms <br />to expire July 31, 1988. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Wieland seconded to reappoint Roger <br />Larson of West Fargo to the Cass County Housing Authority for a 5 -year <br />term to expire July 1, 1990. On roll call vote, the motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to reappoint Mrs. <br />Fred Hector to the City of Fargo Planning and Zoning Commission from <br />their extra territorial jurisdiction for a 5 -year term to expire July <br />1, 1990. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to reappoint Michael <br />Lavelle to the City of Horace Planning and Zoning Commission from <br />their extra territorial jurisdiction for a 5 -year term to expire July <br />1, 1990. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to reappoint Marvin <br />Witt to the City of West Fargo Planning and Zoning Commission from <br />their extra territorial jurisdiction for a 5 -year term to expire July <br />1, 1990. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Two comments were addressed to the Commission from the Suggestion <br />Box. One was the problem of water standing on the Juvenile Detention <br />Center parking lot. The Commission asked Steve Grindberg to <br />investigate installing a drain. The other comment related to the <br />Employee Newsletter, which has not been circulated for some time. <br />Discussion was held on preparation and circulation of a newsletter. <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs. Stanton seconded to authorize the issuance <br />of a newsletter on a monthly basis, the County departments to be <br />responsible for furnishing the news for the publication prior to a <br />cut -off date to be established at a later time; and that at least <br />one member of the County Commission shall review the newsletter before <br />it is circulated. On roll call vote, the motion carried unanimously. <br />Information on proposed salary increases for County Extension <br />Service employees will be referred to the Salary Review Committee. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the check from <br />the State of North Dakota in the amount of $741.21 for Cass County's <br />share of the gaming taxes be placed in a special account with the <br />Sheriff's Department to be used for enforcement of the State's gaming <br />laws. The motion carried on roll call vote with four members voting <br />"Aye" and Mr. Wieland voting "Pass <br />Mr. Sondrall moved and Mr. Eckert seconded to receive and file <br />correspondence from James W. McCulley, DDS, regarding dental health <br />insurance, and refer it to insurance consultant, Dan Martinsen. <br />Motion carried. <br />
