agenda again for January 29th. <br />Scott Krueger reported that he spoke with a representative of <br />the Hay Group Consulting Firm regarding an evaluation of County <br />Department Heads. He was informed that the methods used by the Hay <br />Group match those used by the County Department Heads' Salary Committee <br />when employee positions were evaluated. The Hay Group would charge <br />up to $7,200 to evaluate Department Heads, and the process would take <br />4 -6 weeks to complete. Mr. Wieland stated that he would not be in <br />favor of spending this amount of money, and Mrs. Stanton stated that <br />she would first like to see the results of the Task Force study. <br />Scott Krueger submitted a report marking the end of his first <br />year at Cass County as Administrative Assistant. The Commissioners <br />commended him for his work. <br />Mr. Wieland moved and Mrs Stanton seconded to adopt the following <br />RESOLUTION REQUIRING THE APPROVAL FOR THE USE OF AMOUNTS HELD IN THE <br />RESERVE FUND MAINTAINED BY THE COUNTY AUDITOR: On roll call vote, <br />the motion carried unanimously. <br />WHEREAS, the Cass County presently maintains a Reserve Fund <br />for the Health District, the County Jail and the County Poor Funds <br />in order to ensure that the Cass County will have monies available <br />at all times to make expenditures necessary for the maintenance of <br />the Cass County's facilities and the welfare of its residents should <br />the Cass County's revenues be at any time temporarily insufficient <br />for such purposes, and <br />WHEREAS, the Cass County deems it necessary to ensure the <br />application of the monies on deposit in the Fund solely for such <br />purposes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that amounts on deposit in the <br />Fund shall be used solely for the purposes set forth above. <br />AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that such amounts shall not be <br />withdrawn from the Fund without the approval of this Board. <br />The provisions of the foregoing Resolution are hereby made <br />effective as of the date hereof. <br />Dated at Fargo, North Dakota, this 22nd day of January, 1985. <br />Mr. Eckert brought in several matters from Road Superintendent, <br />Steve Grindberg. Upon his recommendation, Mr. Eckert moved and Mr. <br />Sondrall seconded that the Chairman be authorized to sign the request <br />for Federal Aid for bituminous surfacing of 5.9 miles on the County <br />road from Chaffee east to State Highway 18. On roll call vote, the <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />Mrs. Stanton moved and Mr. Sondrall seconded that the Chairman <br />be authorized to sign two requests for Federal Aid on a bridge <br />replacement project in Sections 7 -18, Maple River Township; and a <br />bridge replacement project in Sections 22 -23, Gill Township.
